Your key responsibilities

 

As a Senior Associate within EY-Parthenon’s Corporate Finance Real Estate practice, you will act as a valuation and corporate finance specialist, working on valuations, strategic initiatives, M&A and optimizing value for clients in the real estate sector.  Your contributions will be integral in providing rigorous analysis and actionable recommendations.

 

  • Participate in real estate, hospitality, and tourism advisory engagements with a focus on development, business plan assessment, valuation, acquisition, and divestiture.
  • Work on real estate projects related to a variety of property types, are most often hotel, mixed-use hotel and residential, marinas, vacation ownership, recreational real estate (i.e., golf courses, themed attractions), membership clubs, office, and other commercial properties.
  • Additionally, work on projects in strategic growth industries such as the hospitality sector, cruise sector, the timeshare/vacation ownership sector, theme parks, sustainable development/green development sector, and the health & wellness sector.
  • Specific responsibilities include financial and cash flow modeling, property/portfolio modeling, business plan validation, data analysis, market research and due diligence, asset and business enterprise valuations and valuation reviews, and report writing.
  • Work on cross-border engagements in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
  • Interface directly with clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • Participate in pursuit of opportunities through sales and marketing efforts.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, hospitality, business or other relevant academic major and at least 2 years of related real estate work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 1 year of related real estate work experience.
  • Strong writing skills, including experience writing business plans and market studies.
  • Experience in creating complex financial models (cash flow/property/portfolio modeling).
  • Experience in real estate underwriting, acquisition due diligence, real estate valuation, asset management, finance, and/or market research.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to deduce meaningful insights from complex data.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to prioritize effectively and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
  • Solid negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. 

Ideally, you will have

  • Spanish fluency.
  • Experience and interest in Latin American and/or Caribbean geographies.
  • Experience in complex financial models (cash flow/property/portfolio modeling).
  • Previous experience in a mergers, acquisitions, development, or advisory role.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
  • Management consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $95,200 to $157,100.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $114,200 to $178,500.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
