Web and Digital Projects Manager
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Web & Digital Projects Manager to cover maternity leave for 12 months. This position suits a seasoned digital project management professional who can confidently oversee end-to-end delivery of strategic web and digital initiatives, drive operational excellence, and ensure a seamless online client experience on EY.com.
You will take charge of project planning, resource and budget allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communications for web projects. The role also involves driving strategic direction for web and search engine optimisation (SEO) projects, with a key focus on AI-driven web optimisation to keep our digital presence at the forefront of innovation. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to support business revenue generation through the web channel, developing strategies and roadmaps (via Adobe Experience Manager and other platforms) that support B2B demand generation programs and deliver compelling EY.com content that attracts and retains visitors.
As the Web & Digital Projects Manager, you are expected to be a problem solver with a strategic mindset – identifying opportunities, making data-driven cases for new projects (including why they’re needed, how to execute them, and what technology to use), and leveraging emerging technologies (like AI) for web optimisation. You must be an excellent communicator capable of translating technical language into terms easily understood by the business, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. This is also a leadership role: you will inspire, coach, and train a web team (both onshore and offshore) in delivering first-class online client experiences and increasing leads.
This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of digital and website projects, from initial scoping through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define project requirements, manage expectations, and communicate progress clearly.
- Manage budgets, resources, and delivery schedules across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Drive EY Oceania’s web and SEO strategy, with a particular focus on AI-led optimisation to improve traffic, engagement, and conversion.
- Monitor and report on web performance metrics, including pipeline contribution, user engagement, and SEO outcomes, in partnership with analytics teams.
- Oversee the handling of web enquiries, ensuring they are routed to the appropriate business units and tracked for revenue attribution.
- Coordinate with global digital teams to advocate for enhancements and advocate for changes that will improve the client experience.
- Lead and support a distributed web team (onshore and offshore), providing coaching, guidance, and quality assurance across all web activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen delivery capability and digital governance.
Skills and attributes for success
- 5+ years’ experience in digital project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex web and transformation projects.
- Deep understanding of web technologies, SEO, SEM, UX, analytics (Adobe Analytics), and content management systems - particularly Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts and influence decision-making.
- Proficiency in collaboration and project tools such as Workfront, Jira, or Confluence.
- Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery discipline across multiple projects.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience working within a large, matrixed or multinational organisation, with exposure to global digital platforms and governance.
- Familiarity with AI-driven optimisation tools and techniques, and a passion for digital innovation and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently while fostering collaboration across teams and geographies.
- Exposure to B2B demand generation strategies and digital campaign performance tracking.
