The opportunity

 

Our Transfer Pricing team is the market leader in cross border transactions, helping our clients navigate through periods of complexity and significant change.   This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing to join our Melbourne office and work on some exciting and high-profile engagements.

 

As part of our broader International Tax and Transaction Services team you would have the opportunity to work across a range of clients, from large multinational companies to small start-ups. Working closely with our international and corporate tax specialists across the EY network, you will also be a part of an integrated team to deliver real-time insights, to help them solve tomorrows problems today.  You will also work in a collaborative environment where you’ll have the freedom to shape your career through our comprehensive development programs to help you be the best version of yourself, both inside and outside of work.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • You will manage a broad range of clients and provide advice on transfer pricing controversy issues, deal with revenue authorities and review transfer pricing documentation, including comparative economic analysis of transactions within multinational groups
  • Assist clients with the design and implementation of transfer pricing policies and frameworks, working closely with all members of the team
  • Identify new business development opportunities and drive key account relationships
  • Ensure projects run to time and budget and are adequately resourced
  • Coach, mentor and support a high performing team and act as an escalation point for junior staff members
     

Skills and attributes for success
 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Strong experience in the Transfer Pricing field in Australia
  • Strong academic record, preferably with an honours degree or higher in economics, law, finance, accounting, actuarial, science or engineering
  • Ability to translate complex legislation and tax rulings into clear, succinct, well written advice to our clients
  • Strong teaming and people leadership skills
  • Due to COVID we are only able to consider applicants who hold valid work rights in Australia and/or meet the entry requirements as per the latest advice on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Experience in tax digital technologies and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau RPA
