Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate complex pursuit activities, ensuring critical milestones, deliverables and stakeholder actions are executed effectively from qualification through to close.
  • Partner with Deal Leaders and pursuit teams to develop winning strategies, articulate compelling value propositions and create differentiated client solutions.
  • Drive the development of high-quality client-facing proposals, presentations and communications that tell a clear, consistent and compelling story.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Significant experience in pursuits, business development, project management or related commercial roles, ideally within professional services, consulting, audit or business transformation environments.
  • Strong project management and organisational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, workstreams and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal development, executive messaging and client-facing content creation.
  • The ability to influence, challenge and guide senior stakeholders while maintaining strong collaborative relationships.
  • Advanced commercial awareness and strategic thinking, with the ability to contribute to deal qualification, pursuit strategy and negotiation discussions.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Experience supporting or managing complex consulting, managed services or transformation pursuits from opportunity qualification through to contract award.
  • Exposure to pursuit methodologies, sales frameworks or structured business development programmes such as EY's Gold Standard Pursuit Process (GSPP).
  • Experience developing win themes, competitive positioning strategies and client relationship mapping for strategic pursuits.
  • APMP, PMP or similar project management and pursuit-related certifications.
