Senior Consultant – Transfer Pricing
The opportunity
As our Senior Consultant you’ll support our clients in advising on business restructures, planning for new international projects, navigating tax authority reviews and managing compliance obligations.
As part of our ITTS team you would have the opportunity to work across a range of clients, from large multinational companies across a broad range of industries to small start-ups. Working closely with our broader international and corporate tax specialists across the EY network in Australia and overseas, you would be part of an integrated team striving to help our clients thrive in a global environment.
This role is based in Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Responsible for contributing to the delivery of one or more processes, solutions and/or projects by delivering agreed activities, applying judgement, and selecting appropriate methodologies to inform recommendations, considerate of success criteria, barriers, risks, and issues.
- Performs intellectual property valuations for tax and transfer pricing purposes and design business models, supply chains and future growth strategies for clients and “issue spot” or identify transfer pricing opportunities.
- Assists with post-merger integration, conduct transfer pricing specific due diligence for strategic and corporate buyers and sellers, and develop approach to align the tax and treasury profile with its operational strategy to enhance the after-tax return of business transformation initiatives
What we look for
- Knowledge of the relationships between cost, price, volume, mix, margins and asset/investment performance and ability to advise clients on how to drive best financial outcomes by setting prices and transfer prices to achieve financial performance targets.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and effectively analyse, assess impact, and help clients manage the impact of tax regulation imposed by local, state, and federal tax authorities.
- Knowledge of tax policies, regulations, and enforcement to prevent cross-border tax controversies and disputes.

- Salary: We offer a competitive salary which is open to negotiation pending on skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is AUD 90,000 to AUD 96,000 inclusive of superannuation dependent on skills, experience and work location.
