Performance and Reward Specialist
The opportunity
This is an exciting time to join EY’s Performance and Reward team, with a permanent opportunity available to support performance and reward activity across Oceania.
As a Performance & Reward Specialist, you will help deliver key performance, remuneration and benefits outcomes across the annual cycle, while providing data-led advice that supports fair, consistent and commercially sound people decisions.
You will work closely with HR, Finance and business stakeholders to bring structure, insight and confidence to reward activity. This includes supporting remuneration cycles, market benchmarking, job evaluation, pay governance, reporting and continuous improvement.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with complex data, translating insights into clear recommendations, and partnering with stakeholders to improve the way performance and reward programmes are delivered.
This is a hybrid position that can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Flexible work options are available, please speak with us about potential arrangements.
Your key responsibilities
- Support the end to end execution of performance, remuneration and benefits cycles across Oceania, ensuring strong governance, accuracy and employee experience.
- Provide data-led insights and recommendations to support fair, consistent and commercially sound reward decisions.
- Partner with HR, Finance and business leaders on remuneration, market benchmarking, job evaluation and performance and reward-related matters.
- Prepare reporting and insights that translate complex data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement across reward processes, reporting, technology and ways of working.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong analytical capability, with advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex people data.
- Ability to translate data and market insights into practical recommendations and business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality and data integrity.
- A proactive and curious mindset, with an interest in continuous improvement, technology and future-focused people practices.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience in reward, remuneration, performance, HR analytics, HR advisory or a related people discipline.
- Exposure to annual performance, remuneration or benefits cycles.
- Familiarity with market benchmarking, job evaluation or job architecture.
- Experience working in a complex, matrixed or professional services environment.
- Interest in using data, technology and AI-enabled tools to improve decision-making and process quality.
