About the team!
An exciting opportunity to work with the dynamic, growing EY Government Incentives team, based in our Melbourne office. Our team is purpose-driven and committed to helping our clients access a variety of State and Federal grants and incentives that allow for investment and growth to foster a better working world. Our role is to assist clients identify incentives and capital in the form of funding, grants and Research and Development tax incentives.We act as trusted advisors, by helping with innovation management and policy, preparing grant applications, assisting companies access R&D incentives across geographies.
What’s in it for you?
Get involved with business development growth of the direct grant funding service stream
Communicating with clients and stakeholders (which can include C-Suite, Tax, Technical and Finance personnel), asking thoughtful questions to gather meaningful information on their projects
Industry insights and opportunities to understand the complex and confidential projects being undertaken by EY’s clients
Advise and support clients in developing detailed project documents, business cases, economic analysis and funding applications for submission to various government departments
Evaluating project concepts and technical content to assist clients in obtaining incentives
Oversee the preparation of detailed work papers and reports to deliver exceptional results to EY’s clients
What we’re looking for

- Experience with grant applications / bid writing / bid reviewing / business case / proposal development
- Experience with R&D Tax Incentive program
- Experience in dealing with technical challenges faced by industry professionals, such as engineering design, the development or improvement of manufacturing processes, development of new products and improvement to existing products
- Business acumen and relevant commercial exposure in terms of understanding the marketability of new products and processes
- Ability to delegate, coach and mentor junior team members
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
- A collaborative working style with excellent communication and presentational skills (both oral and written)
- Self-motivated, pro-active, innovative and enthusiastic
