The opportunity

At EY-Parthenon, our unique combination of transformative strategy, transactions, tax and corporate finance delivers real-world value – solutions that work in practice, not just on paper. Benefiting from EY’s full spectrum of services, we’ve reimagined strategic consulting to work in a world of increasing complexity. With deep functional and sector expertise, paired with innovative AI-powered technology and an investor mindset, we partner with CEOs, boards, private equity and governments every step of the way.

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of asset advisory services?

Our national Plant and Equipment Advisory team services clients across Asia-Pacific by undertaking detailed asset assessments and providing advice as it relates to plant and equipment valuations, asset strategy and organisational asset management maturity and improvement opportunities.

We're seeking a dynamic leader to join in our Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney office. As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Work alongside colleagues who specialise in plant and equipment valuation and advisory services, delivering expert advice and insights across the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Conduct comprehensive asset management assessments, offering crucial intelligence to clients in capital-intensive industries, helping them understand and uplift the value of their asset portfolios.
  • Play a pivotal role in strategic decision-making processes, especially during high-stakes transactions and transformation programs, to guide clients through various asset related decisions for various purposes.
  • Be a growth catalyst by forging strong relationships with new and existing clients, leading talented project teams, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences during engagements.

This is a hybrid position that can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia.

Your key responsibilities

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • A passion and in-depth knowledge in all things plant and equipment, including asset management best practice and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex engagements, with strong influencing skills to pull the right levers to drive the best outcomes.
  • Excellent client facing skills with the confidence to lead client meetings, build a network and grow accounts.
  • Ability to succinctly and clearly communicate complex concepts to clients.
  • Ability to lead and mentor our staff, as well as being a strong team player.
  • Enthusiasm and a strong drive to succeed.

Skills and attributes for success

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable. Suitable fields of study include Engineering, Data Science or Mathematics, Physics, Property and Construction, Commerce, or Finance.
  • Training or certification qualifications in asset valuations (such as AAPI, ASA or RICS) or asset management (e.g. CAAM, CPAM, CAMA, or similar) will be highly regarded.
  • Prior experience in asset management or capital planning roles, or property, business or plant and equipment strategy positions is favoured but not essential, as is a familiarity with IVS, AMAF or ISO 55000 suite of standards.

If you're passionate about making a difference and driving success through expert advisory services, we want you on our team. Apply now to embark on a career journey that promises professional growth, industry impact, and the chance to work with some of the most respected names in the business.
