Cybersecurity Managed Services - Solutions Architect (Oceania)
The opportunity
In a rapidly evolving cyber landscape, organisations across all industries look to EY for trusted, scalable solutions to secure their environments. As part of our Cybersecurity team, you’ll help clients understand their risks, strengthen their defences, and adopt modern, resilient cyber operating models.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in accelerating the growth of EY’s Cyber Managed Services (CMS) across Oceania—shaping opportunities, aligning solutions to our standardised CMS portfolio, and engaging the market to understand emerging demand and trends.
This position is based in Naarm – Melbourne and Warrang – Sydney.
Your key responsibilities
Pipeline, Market & Internal Enablement
- Drive CMS pipeline growth by partnering with account teams, sector leaders and alliances to identify, qualify and position CMS opportunities.
- Champion CMS standardisation, ensuring all proposed solutions align with EY’s managed services platforms, operating model and delivery capabilities.
- Provide market intelligence by analysing client needs, cyber trends, competitive insights and threat landscape shifts to inform service roadmap decisions.
- Enable internal teams across Oceania by educating stakeholders on CMS offerings, value propositions and differentiators to strengthen adoption and market presence.
Solution Architecture & Presales Leadership
- Act as a technical presales lead for CMS opportunities, collaborating with solution leaders, product teams, alliance managers, delivery teams and client executives.
- Design complex, multi-year managed services solutions integrating people, processes, technology and facilities, while addressing regulatory, sovereignty and operational requirements.
- Develop high-quality proposals, presentations, SOWs, and pricing models, and lead responses to RFIs/RFPs across Threat Detection & Response, Threat Exposure Management, Digital Identity, Data Protection, Supply Chain Cyber Risk, and Security Architecture-as-a-Service.
- Partner with contract and legal teams to define service levels, assurance requirements and risk management approaches.
Client Engagement & Thought Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor across the pre‑ and post‑sales lifecycle—capturing requirements, shaping solutions, selecting technology stacks, estimating effort, and supporting transition to delivery.
- Contribute to market-facing activity, including client briefings, industry events, and thought leadership highlighting the latest cyber trends and EY CMS capabilities.
- Maintain and continually develop professional and technical skills to stay ahead of industry change.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong technical expertise in cybersecurity concepts, tools, and frameworks, with the ability to design and articulate complex managed services solutions.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to assess client environments, identify risks, and develop innovative, practical solutions.
- Ability to translate market insights into actionable recommendations for pipeline and service development
- Experience governing or standardising service catalogues or managed service offerings
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust efficiently.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead proposals, shape growth strategies, and manage complex delivery.
- Passion for mentoring and developing consulting team talent.
