We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our APAC Global Compensation Services team, part of our Global Mobility practice. Our team is based in Sydney & Melbourne, however we will consider applicants based in Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.

 

EY’s Global Mobility team support strategically driven organisations who send employees on assignment globally. We support clients with all aspects of the assignment life cycle. Our services include immigration, tax compliance & advisory, assignment administration and advisory services.

 

EY’s Global Compensation Services team provides an end to end compensation data accumulation and reporting service to large global organisations. Our service streamlines compensation management to support tax compliance, while also providing clients with detailed cost analytics to assist in understanding and managing the cost of mobility and supporting strategic decision making.

 

As our Senior Consultant – Global Employment Data Solutions, your key responsibilities are:

  • Oversee the end to end monthly data collection, processing & reporting process for clients
  • Work with client contacts across the globe to co-ordinate provision of data
  • Analyse and interpret compensation data from multiple sources including payroll and non-cash benefit information
  • Use automation tools to create efficient processes for managing large volumes of data on a timely basis
  • Review compensation reporting
  • Assist to design and create data analytics dashboards to meet clients’ needs
  • Work with EY offices across the globe to co-ordinate provision of reporting for tax, compensation, payroll and social security compliance
  • Opportunity to be involved in project management, with responsibility for components of implementation of our service for new clients
  • You will gain direct client experience as part of our account teams, responsible for daily client management and involvement in strategic meetings
  • Help us to build our service across the APAC region, with exciting opportunities to work on clients based across the region, and work with colleagues across the APAC EY network to build up capability across the region
  • Mentor and train junior team members

 

What we’re looking for

  • Given the broad scope of this role, we are interested to talk to candidates with a broad range of experiences
  • Our ideal candidate will have 2 - 3 years’ experience in global mobility or employment tax, either with professional services, a relocation provider or within an internal HR/tax/finance team
  • Alternatively, you might have more general experience in tax, accounting or finance, or experience in data management and/or analysis
  • Experience with automation technologies would also be helpful
  • We are looking for candidates with the following key skills & attributes:
    • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills;
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Strong excel skills, ie able to use basic formulae, pivot tables etc
    • Innovative mindset, with a focus on process improvement
  • Ideally, you’ll also have
    • Project management/co-ordination experience;
    • Experience working across a global network.
