The opportunity

 

The role will you to work closely with business stakeholders to collect, analyze, and visualize data that supports audit, compliance, operational performance, and management reporting activities. This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, developing dashboards and reports, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

·         Validate, and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources. Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and operational insights within complex dataset

·         Develop recurring and ad hoc reports to support leadership decision-making

·         Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support audits, reviews, and operational assessments

·         Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools.

·         Create visualizations that effectively communicate findings to executives and stakeholders

·         Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support organizational performance measurement efforts

·         Recommend improvements to reporting processes and visualization standards

·         Translate business questions into analytical solutions. Present findings, recommendations, and methodologies to stakeholder

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

·         Create visualizations that effectively communicate findings to executives and stakeholders. Experience writing tests, participating in code reviews

·         Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources. Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and operational insights within complex datasets

·         Seeking out information to learn about emerging methodologies and technologies

·         Clarifying problems by driving to understand the true issue

·         Experience collaborating, influencing, and building consensus through constructive relationships and effective listening

·         Solving problems by incorporating data into decision making

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

·         Bachelor's degree

·         Must have an active Top Secret clearance

·         1-3 years of related experience with Power BI SQL Microsoft Excel Data visualization techniques Data analysis methodologies Experience working with large and complex datasets

·         Must be comfortable working in-person as needed in the Washington, DC area

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree or above in mathematics, information systems, statistics, computer science, or related disciplines

·         Data Engineering Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.

·         Experience with Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies.

·         Experience with Python for data processing and automation.

·         Experience optimizing database and reporting performance. Microsoft Data Platform Azure SQL Azure Data Factory Statistical analysis and trend analysis.

·         Data quality management. Dashboard development and KPI reporting. Self-service analytics solutions

 

Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Infrastructure, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office.  In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates should be willing to travel 20 – 30% or more.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job is: 
    • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $107,100 to $160,400
    • Bay Area California offices – $111,500 to $167,100
    • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $89,200 to $147,000 
  • Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
