EY G&I Transformation Execution is currently looking for qualified professionals interested in helping US federal, state and local agencies better manage their programs and projects. Your key responsibilities 

As a G&I leader, you’ll work with government clients to strengthen program management operations across integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management. You’ll apply your expertise to meaningful, complex engagements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and industry leaders.

·        Leading end-to-end Lean process-improvement initiatives, Value Stream Mapping sessions and Kaizen workshops across the Department of the Navy and subordinate-command leadership teams

·        Applying structured Lean problem-solving tools, including DMAIC, 5 Whys, Fishbone analysis and A3 thinking, to identify root causes of operational friction and readiness barriers

·        Developing practical corrective action plans, standard work procedures and control plans to sustain process adoption and measurable improvement

·        Directing the technical, financial, risk and quality aspects of client engagements

·        Leading service development and delivery

·        Building relationships with key influencers to manage work effectively and generate new business opportunities

·        Sharing leading practices and insights on current industry and subject-matter topics with EY US leaders, proposal teams and clients

·        Building, managing and motivating high-performing teams through leadership, coaching, mentoring, performance assessment, recruitment, retention, training and competency development

·        Communicating enhancements to EY US portfolio, program and project management methodologies and supporting their implementation

·        Communicating workplace policies, procedures and practices to all levels of staff

Skills and attributes for success 

·        Demonstrated ability to apply Lean process-improvement and operational-excellence methods in complex enterprise or government environments

·        Strong executive presence and sound judgment when advising senior government and Navy stakeholders

·        Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and drive actionable outcomes

·        Ability to understand client cultures and operations and influence important decisions

To qualify for the role, you must have 

·        Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business or a related field, plus at least seven years of professional experience in continuous process improvement, strategic planning, operational design or a closely related discipline; or a relevant master’s degree plus four years of relevant experience

·        Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher

·        At least five years of experience leading teams on engagements

·        Experience supporting a federal or state agency in project or program centralization and transformation, risk management, financial controls, schedule management, resource planning, workflow optimization, organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, performance measurement, metrics development, benchmarking and gap analysis

·        Demonstrated hands-on experience leading enterprise Lean initiatives and executive improvement workshops

·        Experience developing executive summaries, decision briefs, recommendations and leadership-ready materials and presenting them to senior executives or flag-level stakeholders

·        Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, project-management software, and workflow-mapping and visual-management tools

·        Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport

·        Due to the nature of our Government and Infrastructure work, assignments may require work at client, EY or contractor sites. We aim to assign professionals to projects within commuting distance of their home office; however, travel beyond that area may be required based on client and project needs. Candidates should be prepared to travel approximately 25%–30% or more in a hybrid environment.

Ideally, you'll also have  

·        Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

·        Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

·        Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Experience with a Big Four global management consulting firm or a blue-chip organization focused on the government and public sector is a plus.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job is: 
• • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $154,000 to $256,700
  • Bay Area California offices – $160,500 to $267,400
  • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $128,400 to $235,300 
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
