Transformation Delivery overview
Transformation Delivery, a part of Business Consulting, is a multi-disciplinary group of transformation experts who help bring about complex change, organised into three teams: Project, Programme & Portfolio Management, Agile & Product Management, and Capital Programme Delivery. The team support our clients’ journey end to end from shaping to execution on large-scale transformations to create successful outcomes.

Bringing together product managers, business analysts and agile transformation leads, we support our clients to outcome-centric success from design to delivery to optimisation through the creation of new propositions, digitally enabled products and data.


The opportunity
As a Senior Consultant – Digital Delivery, you will support the delivery of large-scale, multi-year technology enabled business transformations seeking to achieve business growth through agile business model innovation, new customer experiences and adoption of digital technology. 


You will work collaboratively with EY Seren, client and partner teams to operationally manage delivery. You will continually be aligning across transformational objectives, delivery performance, market feedback and stakeholder concerns. Your role will be to demonstrate the value added by digital architecture, solutions and operating models within client engagements



Your key responsibilities

  • Work with various client stakeholders to collect and refine requirements to be ready to be delivered by the team
  • Propose initiatives to improve the product based on collection of data and results from qualitative and quantitative research
  • Co-ordinate a delivery squad (technical or non-technical) as a scrum master to improve the ways of working and delivery methods of the team, facilitating key sprint ceremonies in scrum or kanban, measuring squad delivery and leading initiatives to continuously improve squad delivery
  • Actively seek collaboration with relevant disciplines to deliver blended solutions
  • Support delivery of large-scale client digital/customer/growth transformation programmes (>£30M)
  • Oversee and ensure all elements of the client transformation are considered and factored into the delivery plan including build, testing, training, analytics, release planning, marketing, business readiness and optimization to deliver the client’s end goals
  • Coach internal, client and third party teams on agile principles and delivery methodologies
  • Manage client relationships, expectation and satisfaction, with stakeholders that are direct reports to people with P&L accountability for ~£1B annual revenue
  • Assure the delivery is managed within quality and risk parameters, aligned to EY standards and frameworks



Skills and attributes for success

  • Personal resilience and resourcefulness to advocate for and deliver change in the face of organisational resistance
  • Highly organised and diligent, with ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary delivery engagements
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills across delivery teams, client and third parties
  • Broad understanding of digital and customer-led change activities across finance, research, service design, process, operating model, technology, marketing and user experience



To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelors and / or Masters degree in design, business or technology subject areas or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated track record in the end-to-end delivery of over 3 large scale digital/customer/growth transformations
  • Credible functional expert, with demonstrable track record in at least one of marketing, sales/eCommerce, service, technology or finance
  • Demonstrated track record of successful new business scale-up
  • Experience working in prominent management consulting and/or global system integrator organisations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to produce high-quality written deliverables in fluent English
  • A willingness to travel and work in client sites, both in the UK and overseas as and when required
  • A strong agile implementation background including previous demonstrable examples and scrum master / agile coach experience   



Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Industry recognised qualifications or certifications in applicable programme delivery areas - SAfE, PMI, PRINCE II, etc.
  • Recognised brand and prominence in chosen field - e.g. large social media following, track record of industry publications, participation in industry bodies or contribution to industry standards
