Financial Services Organization – Cloud Architect & Infrastructure Engineer – Service Delivery Center
EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit (“FSO”) dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of every event that has reshaped and redefined the financial services industry. This practice also includes several Service Delivery Centers composed of high-performing US-based resources who work closely with our experienced client-serving professionals to deliver project-based work and managed services to our US-based Financial Services clients. The Opportunity
As a technical leader at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and AI engineering, you’ll architect hybrid solutions that power the next generation of financial services. You’ll lead a team of cloud and AI engineers to build scalable, secure, and intelligent platforms that support mission-critical workloads, data-driven decision-making, and enterprise-wide transformation. This role offers the opportunity to shape EY’s cloud and AI strategy while driving innovation across the financial services landscape.
What You’ll Do
Architect Hybrid Cloud + AI Solutions
- Design enterprise-grade cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP tailored to financial services workloads.
- Integrate AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Azure ML, Vertex AI) into cloud-native platforms.
- Architect hybrid and multi-cloud environments supporting high availability, scalability, and compliance.
- Define governance frameworks for cloud and AI operations, including security, cost optimization, and regulatory alignment.
- Lead modernization initiatives including migration from legacy systems to cloud-native and AI-enabled platforms.
Lead High-Performance Engineering Teams
- Manage and mentor 6–12 engineers across cloud, DevOps, and AI disciplines.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, financial analysts, and cybersecurity experts.
- Drive architectural reviews, technical deep-dives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive Strategic Cloud + AI Initiatives
- Partner with financial services leadership to identify transformative opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into scalable cloud and AI architectures.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and AIOps/MlOps best practices.
- Present cloud and AI strategies to senior stakeholders and contribute to thought leadership.
Scale Impact Across Financial Services
- Oversee deployment of cloud-native platforms managing billions in financial transactions.
- Implement enterprise-wide cloud and AI platforms serving multiple business units.
- Define KPIs and metrics to measure performance, cost efficiency, and business impact.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies: serverless, container orchestration, multi-agent AI, and FinOps.
Technical Requirements
Core Skills (Must-Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure engineering.
- Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP with focus on cloud-native services and AI/ML integration.
- Hands-on experience with AI platforms: SageMaker, Bedrock, Azure ML, Vertex AI.
- Strong understanding of AIOps, MLOps, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD.
- Proven track record designing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments.
- Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) and microservices architecture.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Financial services domain expertise (banking, insurance, capital markets).
- Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, Dodd-Frank).
- Experience with AI Engineering Frameworks, model governance, and cloud cost optimization.
- Knowledge of enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
- Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML engineering.
- Experience with emerging AI techniques: multi-agent systems, reasoning models, tool-use agents.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Practical experience deploying AI-enabled cloud applications across financial use cases.
- Working knowledge of cloud-based ML services and data pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A willingness and ability to travel at 0%–25%.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $76,200 to $174,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $91,400 to $197,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
