EY Consulting is a fast-moving, high-growth area with huge potential. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager / Manager to join our team. This team offers variety, challenge, responsibility and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. Being a member of our Consulting team means you will specialize in a particular competency - Risk, Technology Consulting, or IT Risk & Assurance. Our Technology Consulting team is focused on helping clients improve operational efficiency and security, while also reducing costs and managing risk.
We help clients by delivering assessment, transformation and process efficiency solutions in specialty areas like finance, supply chain, IT Advisory, customer, people and organization change, strategic direction, and program management. To address the shifting landscape of our clients' needs, EY has established a national Center of Excellence focusing in the broad topics of Enterprise Intelligence, Risk Transformation, IT Risk, and Enabling Technologies. Enabling Technologies primarily focuses on the design and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, and others. Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy/Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications, Entertainment/Media, Oil/Gas and Consumer Goods/Retail.
Your key responsibilities
The SAP Production Planning Consultant is responsible for providing expert consulting services to clients in manufacturing and production planning using SAP's Production Planning (PP) module. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business processes, designing solutions to optimize their production planning, and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of SAP PP functionalities.
People Management: Effectively lead the team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
Project Management: Participate in large scale SAP client engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Should be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interfacing with a client on a daily basis. This role requires daily interaction with the client at many levels.
Skills and attributes for success

Engage with clients to assess their current production planning processes and identify areas for improvement using SAP PP n S/4 HANA.

Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP PP solutions tailored to client needs.

Provide strategic guidance to clients on best practices in production planning and integration with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management) and QM (Quality Management).

Conduct detailed requirement analysis, process design, system configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support.

Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion within budget and scope.

Facilitate workshops and training sessions for clients to ensure effective knowledge transfer and system utilization.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP PP features, updates, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations to clients.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in the area of production planning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP PP with other systems and processes.

Contribute to the development of proposals, presentations, and sales support materials for prospective clients.

Experience/knowledge in SAP PEO is desirable
To qualify for the role you must have

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and manufacturing, with at least 3 years of SAP PP consulting experience.

Proven track record of successful SAP PP project implementations and optimizations.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how they integrate with SAP PP.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.

SAP PP certification is highly desirable.

Ability to travel as needed to client sites for project delivery and support.
