Join Asia Pacific Capital Markets (ASEAN) within Assurance and you will embark on exciting opportunities to assist our clients in their cross-border transactions and US listings. You will be part of Capital Markets team that provides assurance services to clients who are executing transformational strategies, such as launching an initial public offering (IPO) in the US markets.

The opportunity
This is an exciting and challenging role where you will work with some of the world's largest companies to gain exposure to the dynamic world of international capital markets. We have seen a recent trend where many unicorns in ASEAN head to the US capital markets for IPO or SPAC transactions.
As a Capital Markets Senior Manager or Manager, you will:
•Lead talented teams on high profile U.S. IPO or SPAC deals;
•Deliver technical accounting advice across a range of clients, capital raising strategies and locations across the ASEAN region;
•Produce reports and analyses on accounting issues related to capital raising strategies and regulatory matters;
•Develop your own portfolio of assurance projects, taking responsibility for delivery on complex deadline-driven engagements; and
•Build strong relationships with international clients as you help companies execute their cross-border transactions
Exposure offered by the role:
• Directly liaise with investment bankers, legal counsels and C-Suite executives and represent Ernst & Young at the IPO working group meetings;
•Expanding your network as you build relationships with senior stakeholders at your clients, external parties and within Ernst & Young;
•Based in Singapore and with projects across ASEAN and beyond, you will get a truly international experience; and
•Providing assurance services to clients undertaking capital raising strategies, your technical skills will be stretched and tested as you broaden your knowledge of cross -border transactions, regulatory and compliance matters.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A degree, preferably in finance, commerce or accounting; a US CPA
- At least 5 years of experience in audit or in a large and dynamic organizations in or around the finance field
- Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Experience in PCAOB audits; SEC reporting and SOX 404
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Solution-oriented with “go-getter” personality
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Confident, independent and adaptable
- Excellent verbal/written communication, with strong project management skills
- Experience providing assurance services to clients undertaking capital raising strategies is beneficial
