The Data Protection Manager oversees a range of data-related functions that includes creating Data and Information Strategy, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Science and Analytics as well as ensuring data quality. You will develop data procedures and policies, and work closely with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data assets.
You will:
- Use data to stay ahead of the competition, drive revenue, optimize process, and reduce costs as well as identifying potential gaps or anomalies.
- Establish a strong data driven approach to decision making, leveraging on modeling techniques to identify, analyze and present actionable data to drive business decisions.
- Design and execute the data strategy and roadmap through thorough understanding of the business and engaging with senior business stakeholders.
- Keep up with ever changing regulations, avoid data breaches and put in measures to protect data that is being transmitted as well as stored data.
- Oversee the collection, storage, management, and quality of data.
- Effective communication of status, value, and importance of data collection to executive members and across the firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
- A strong prior experience in leadership role within data management.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- A change agent with strong leadership and communication skills coupled with an analytical mind.
