SAP EWM – Extended Warehouse Management Senior Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Senior Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience across both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, to join our EY GDS Consulting Services team focused on providing cutting – edge IT solutions dedicated to the biggest market players in EMEA region.

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing warehouse management solutions, ensuring seamless integration with SAP logistics and supply chain processes.

 

 

The opportunity
You’ll be working using the best practices of SAP solutions from Extended Warehouse Management area including SAP ECC & SAP S/4HANA. The idea is to deliver business advisory services in the field of transformation and enterprise management systems; implement the processes in Cloud, Hybrid and on-Premise environments, proceed successfully with greenfield and brownfield approach and deal with Agile and combined methodologies. Your responsibility will be also to manage the quality of implementation projects.

 

 

Your key responsibilities
As a member of our team, you’ll have a chance to extend your experience. You’ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in advisory projects: implementation of SAP systems in Warehousing & Inbound/Outbound Logistics. You’ll also participate in post-implementation review of chosen processes as well as in coordination of the main project tasks. You will need to:

 

  • Lead and support SAP EWM implementations, rollouts, and enhancements across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and SAP EWM solutions.
  • Configure and customize EWM processes, including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, and inventory management.
  • Ensure integration with related SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, and TM.
  • Conduct system testing, coordinate UAT, and support go-live activities.
  • Provide troubleshooting and incident resolution, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver optimal warehouse solutions.
  • Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer sessions.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM, including implementations and support.
  • Proven experience working with both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA systems.
  • Strong expertise in EWM configuration, including:
    • Warehouse structure
    • Storage types and bins
    • Inbound/outbound processes
    • RF framework and warehouse monitor
  • Experience with integration between EWM and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, TM).
  • Participation in at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation project.
  • Knowledge of LWM (Lean WM) or decentralized EWM scenarios is a plus.
  • Familiarity with debugging and working closely with ABAP developers.
  • Experience in data migration
  • Knowledge about system enhancements and configuration
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

 

 

Ideally (not mandatory) you may also have

  • Experience with embedded EWM in S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of advanced EWM features such as Yard Management, Labor Management, or Slotting & Rearrangement.
  • Exposure to SAP Fiori apps and UI enhancements.
  • Experience in integration with automation systems (e.g., MFS – Material Flow System).
  • SAP certification in EWM or S/4HANA Supply Chain.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of integration with third-party logistics (3PL) systems
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public or Private) knowledge
  • SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM knowledge
  • SAP Signavio and/or LeanIX knowledge
  • Proficiency on other languages (German, Spanish, Italian, French, etc.) in verbal and written communication is welcome.
