Java Developer with Dutch - EY GDS Spain

The opportunity

As a Java Developer in the Business Consulting Services area, you will participate in various and dieverse streams of implementation projects, collaborate with the best specialists in order to achieve the project and client goals and be a part of the Business Transformations in Financial Sector area.

Your key responsibilities

As part of this new team, you will work in the product development for some of our Financial Services sector clients located in the EMEA region.

Aside from collaborating with the product development teams (designers, business analysts, product owners, developers and quality assurance), you will collaborate in the the technical implementation of diverse features for your product, ensuring that we create solutions that are resilient, scalable and manageable at the same time that we deliver amazing experiences for our customers.

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong communication skills and the ability to cooperate with our clients
• Willingness to learn and improve skills in software development
• Excellent English verbal and written communication

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Prior experience with web based applications in Java
• B2+ Dutch language level
• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented principles
• Experience working with web services / APIs (e.g. SOAP / REST)  
• Knowledge of Spring Framework & ORM (like Hibernate)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Basic knowledge of Agile development lifecycle
• Cloud technologies understanding (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack)
