The opportunity

Join EY GDS Spain as a Senior Manager in Technology Strategy & Transformation and become a key contributor to high-impact and international projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of technology, strategy, and business development, working directly with senior stakeholders and Partners on complex transformation initiatives.

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you will act as a strategic counterpart to Switzerland teams, supporting large-scale programs such as Technology M&A, IT operating model design, and platform strategy. This is a non-technical, high-level consulting role requiring a strong overall view and the ability to navigate across multiple domains in a dynamic environment.

Your key responsibilities

You will play a critical role in driving strategic technology engagements while collaborating closely with international teams.

• Lead and support strategic IT initiatives, including Technology M&A, IT operating model design, and transformation programs
• Act as a key point of contact, supporting both delivery and business development activities
• Provide high-level advisory on IT strategy, application portfolio rationalization, and vendor sourcing
• Engage with senior client stakeholders and contribute to complex decision-making processes
• Collaborate with cross-service teams to deliver integrated solutions across strategy, technology, and operations
• Drive project progress, manage priorities across multiple topics, and ensure high-quality deliverables

• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to simplify complex IT landscapes and provide actionable insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior-level audiences
• Agile mindset with the ability to work across multiple topics and adapt to changing priorities
• Proven experience working in international and client-facing environments
• Ability to combine technology understanding with business and financial perspectives

To qualify for the role, you must have

• +10 years of experience in Big4, consulting firms, or technology strategy environments
• Proven experience in IT transformation, IT strategy, or operating model design
• Strong client-facing experience and stakeholder management at senior levels
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Intermediate or high level in French or German is a plus.
• Exposure to industries such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals
• Experience in areas such as Technology M&A, vendor strategy, or IT finance
• IT-related certifications (considered a plus)
