Full Stack Java Developer - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

As a member of our team at the EY GDS Spain office in Málaga, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience by working on exciting projects that leverage cutting‑edge technologies and methodologies. You will support clients in selecting the most suitable business solutions and contribute to their digital transformation.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable and robust applications across both the back‑end and front‑end. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, maintainable software aligned with business goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Java applications using Spring and Spring Boot
• Building and maintaining responsive front‑end components using Angular and/or React.js
• Developing and consuming RESTful APIs to support data‑driven, service‑oriented architectures
• Collaborating with DevOps, QA, and UX/UI teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
• Identifying and resolving issues in related system processes, ensuring data consistency and integrity
• Writing clean, efficient, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns
• Integrating and optimizing applications with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Participating in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application reliability
• Contributing to the full software development lifecycle: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies to continually improve system performance and maintainability

Skills and Attributes for Success

To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong technical foundation in full‑stack development, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

• Strong proficiency in Java and solid understanding of OOP principles
• Practical experience with the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot
• Solid front‑end development skills using Angular and/or React.js
• Ability to design, implement, and consume REST APIs, ensuring clean and scalable integrations
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Knowledge of software design patterns and industry best practices

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful services and working with relational databases
• Fluency in English 

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Fluency in French or Spanish
• Experience working in international environments
