The opportunity

As a Sustainability & AI Consultant, you will support clients in transforming their sustainability strategies, ESG reporting, climate risk management, sustainable finance, and decarbonization initiatives through data-driven and AI-enabled solutions. EY's sustainability teams support organizations on ESG strategy, decarbonization, sustainable finance, reporting, and regulatory compliance, while EY increasingly leverages data, advanced technologies to drive client transformation.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in sustainability and technology who are eager to develop innovative AI-powered solutions supporting ESG and sustainable finance challenges.
Your key responsibilities
You will support sustainability and digital transformation projects for leading financial institutions, asset managers, corporates, and public-sector organizations by:
- Support clients in ESG transformation, sustainability strategy, reporting, and value creation initiatives.
- Contribute to projects covering CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, EBA guidelines, climate risk, net-zero strategies, and carbon footprint assessments.
- Analyze and manage sustainability data, perform data quality reviews, and identify automation opportunities.
- Support the development of AI-enabled sustainability solutions, dashboards, analytics tools, and reporting platforms.
- Research emerging sustainability regulations, market trends, and AI developments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including sustainability experts, sector specialists, and the Digital Factory.
- Contribute to EY thought leadership and innovation initiatives in Sustainability and AI.
Skills and attributes for success
- Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Passionate and curious about sustainability and emerging technologies.
- Strong communicators able to translate complex concepts into practical recommendations.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and regulations is an advantage (CSRD, ESRS, SFDR, EU Taxonomy).
- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Excel, Python, SQL, or similar.
- Basic understanding of Generative AI and Machine Learning concepts.
- Fluency in English; French and/or German would be considered an asset.
