About the job
Our Forensics team is a multidisciplinary ensemble of experts, ranging from forensic accountants and lawyers to data analysts, specialists in forensic technology, and former law enforcement officers. We specialize in developing targeted business strategies that aim to build confidence and proactively address issues of fraud, bribery, and corruption. We assist companies and their legal counsel to investigate facts, resolve disputes and manage regulatory challenges. We put integrity at the heart of compliance programs and help our clients better manage ethical and reputational risks.
As a member of this team, you will lead the day-to-day execution of AML/KYC audit banking, fintech, asset management, and insurance clients, supervise junior team members, and serve as the primary technical reference on the engagement under the Manager's overall coordination. The Senior is the engine of the audit (runningfieldwork, coaching juniors, and producing deliverables) while operationg within the framework and direction set by the Manager.
In your role as Senior Forensic & Integrity Services (FIS), you will have responsibility for:

Own and execute the core testing phases (CDD/EDD reviews, transaction monitoring effectiveness, names screening validation, governance and reporting framework evaluation) in line with EY Luxembourg AML Audit Methodology;

Develop detailed test scripts based on the risk assessment defined by the Manager; propose adjustments as fieldwork findings emerge during the engagement;

Direct and review the work of 2–4 juniors; provide on-the-job coaching,ensure working papers meet quality standards, and conduct timely debrief sessions;

Apply AML/KYC regulations to assess client compliance against applicable Luxembourg regulations; identify gaps and draft findings with clear root cause analysis and linkage to regulatory provisions;

Lead working-level interviews with client compliance and operations staff;manage day-to-day client queries, evidence requests, and follow-ups; escalate issues to Manager as appropriate;

Prepare draft audit findings, risk ratings, and recommendations for Manager review; contribute to the executive summary and management letter; ensure findings are factual, evidence-based, and clearly articulated;

Perform and/or oversee data extraction and analysis (transaction data, KYC file completeness, screening logs) and identify patterns and control weaknesses;

Train juniors team members on AML/KYC regulatory content and audit methodology; share updates on regulatory changes, enforcement actions, and emerging typologies;

Assist the Manager with planning, budgeting, and scoping; flag issues,timeline risks, or scope creep proactively; for the most experienced seniors, track engagement economics (budget vs. actuals).
About you
• Ability to lead a workstream independently while escalating appropriately to Manager.
• Clear and structured communication (both written and oral), adapted to audience (team, client, leadership);
• Mentoring instinct, invests in juniors staff development and creates a positive team dynamic;
• Professional skepticism with a pragmatic approach, ability to challenge client narratives while maintaining constructive relationships;
• Time management across multiple engagements and competing deadlines;
• Ownership mentality: treats the engagement's quality and timeline as personal responsibility.
To qualify for the role, you must have

Master's degree in Finance, Law, Economics, or related field;

3–5 years of experience in AML/KYC audit, compliance, internal audit or regulatory advisory (1–2 years in a Big 4 or equivalent professional services environment would be an asset);

Solid working knowledge of AML/KYC regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions and financial crime typologies;

Experience supervising junior staff on audit engagements — able to delegate, review, and provide constructive feedback;

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data cleansing))

Fluency in English; proficiency in at least one additional European language strongly preferred (especially French or German).
