The opportunity

At EY, the FAAS Team (Financial Accounting Advisory Services) provides varying types of accounting and non-accounting services covering wide range of topics and experiences. For Wealth & Asset Management clients, such expertise includes (but is not limited to):

• Accounting assessments
• Financial and non-financial due diligence support
• Financial and non-financial reporting
• Process improvement
• Valuation support
• Financial and non-financial analysis
• Audit remediation
• Internal controls assessment
• Regulatory reporting
• Technical finance training
• Benchmarking and market analysis

Considering the close integration between finance, risk and non-financial performance, the FAAS Team not only works with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) but also with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in navigating and addressing financial, operational, and regulatory challenges that clients are facing.

Our team works with companies across various industries such as banks and other financial institutions, funds (private equity, private debt, real estate, etc.) and commercial companies.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality advisory services to our clients, addressing their key challenges and needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including C-level executives, while developing commercial awareness.
• Assist in internal and external projects with other service lines and EY offices to contribute to comprehensive solutions.
• Provide input and alternative viewpoints to enhance team performance and drive client success.
• Leverage our delivery tools and service enablers, you’ll assist in planning and executing small-scale to large-scale, complex projects and play a key role in the successful delivery of services to our clients.
• Mentor junior professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Skills and attributes for success

• Graduate in economics, business, or management with a focus in finance; additional recognized certifications/qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA would be a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in areas such as AIFM, Private Equity, or alternative investments, including Transaction Services.
• Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of Wealth & Asset Management, encompassing Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Private Debt.
• Familiarity with recognized valuation guidelines (IPEV guidelines and IVS) and IFRS. 
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach, capable of solving complex problems independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and collaborate within a team.
• Enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment and values diverse perspectives.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and engagements simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbally, within a professional services context; knowledge of French or German is a plus, with additional languages considered an asset.
