Senior Consultant in Strategy and Transaction – Valuation, Modelling and Economics
 

The opportunity

The EY Strategy & Transaction Services (SaT) team advises clients throughout the

transaction cycle with a fully integrated transactions offering, from strategic review to

integration. Through our independent position with respect to lenders, investors, and

investment bankers, our team of professionals is ideally placed to successfully support

corporate transactions. The Luxembourg SaT team comprises professionals coming from

various backgrounds and disciplines, such as corporate finance, private equity, real estate,

banking industry and financial audit.

Your key responsibilities

As an advisor within a rapidly growing team, you will mainly focus on valuation services

such as sell- and buy-side transaction valuations, financial reporting valuations, etc. You

will be involved in assisting our external clients in assessing the value of their transactions

and provide them meaningful valuation indications that match their respective needs. You

will work hand in hand with our internal clients to deliver advice across a variety of

valuations in the context of audits, purchase price allocations or contributions in kind.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on the complete range of SaT services

and contribute to the further development of the Luxembourg SaT team. These include

Transaction support and Due Diligence Services as well as Lead Advisory services (M&A).

Your responsibilities will also include contributing to the commercial development of our

services, especially preparation of presentation material for the sourcing of new business.

Skills and attributes for success

Your career in audit enable you to successfully lead financial services engagements in an international environment.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• You hold a University or preferably master’s degree with specialization in Finance/Economics or similar
• At least 2 - 4 years of work experience in valuation and/or transaction world
• You are fluent in English, German and/or French
• You display the ability to communicate effectively and act as a team player.
• You are organized, flexible and able to manage several files
• You are committed to continued professional development (e.g. CFA, RICS)
• You are proactive, eager to learn and grow, with strong communication and interpersonal skills both internally and in client facing situations.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Fluent language skills in French and/or German
