The opportunity

Join EY PSA Solutions (‘PSA’), a Luxembourg regulated Professional of the Insurance Sector and help deliver governance, compliance, risk, regulatory and outsourcing services to (re)insurance undertakings and insurance distributors. 

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead client workstreams focused on Luxembourg and EU insurance regulation, translate regulatory requirements into practical governance and control solutions and advise (re)insurance undertakings and distributors on implementation, remediation and ongoing compliance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead defined regulatory and governance workstreams and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Advise (re)insurance undertakings and distributors on Luxembourg and EU insurance regulatory requirements, including insurance governance requirements, IDD, Product Oversight and Governance (POG), distribution oversight, outsourcing, conduct risk and customer protection frameworks across life and non-life insurance.
  • Perform regulatory gap assessments and reviews, and develop practical recommendations, remediation plans, policies, procedures and control frameworks.
  • Prepare governance documentation, stakeholder reporting and regulatory reporting materials.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage delivery against agreed scope, quality standards and timelines.
  • Monitor relevant market and regulatory developments and translate them into client implications and potential service opportunities.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops, contribute to proposals and support business development.
  • Coach junior colleagues, review their work and contribute to recruitment, onboarding and training.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead workstreams, manage competing priorities and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial, collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, anti-financial crime, risk management, internal controls and insurance regulation.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A master’s degree in law, finance, business administration, economics or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of directly relevant experience in insurance, reinsurance, consulting, regulatory advisory, compliance, risk, internal audit or a supervisory authority, including experience delivering workstreams and interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Practical experience in at least one of the following areas: insurance regulation; IDD and conduct requirements; governance, risk and compliance; insurance operations; or Luxembourg regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, project-management and communication skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and French including the ability to draft deliverables and interact with clients in both languages.
