Your role includes reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages; annual accounts under LuxGAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP; and foreign‑to‑local GAAP conversions.
You will focus on fund controlling activities such as cash‑flow and liquidity monitoring, capital activity oversight, performance and fee calculations, NAV review processes, and investor reporting coordination.
As a senior team member, you will supervise junior accountants, support workflow structuring, and ensure consistent quality across your client portfolio.
Your key responsibilities
- Act as the main client contact, understanding their operating model and fostering long‑term, trusted relationships.
- Coordinate and review:
- Annual accounts (LuxGAAP, IFRS, US GAAP)
- Management and financial reporting packages
- Other regulatory or statutory reporting as required by client operations
- Oversee fund controlling activities, including:
- Review of fee calculations (management fees, performance fees, carried interest/waterfall)
- NAV oversight, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Investor reporting coordination and validation
- Work closely with auditors, depositaries, AIFMs, administrators, and other stakeholders.
- Manage engagement economics: invoicing, quotations, workload planning, and timely resolution of queries.
- Coach, review, and guide junior colleagues; provide feedback and contribute to professional development within the team.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at digitalisation, process optimisation, and enhanced reporting quality.
Skills and attributes for success
- Excellent relationship‑management skills and a client‑service mindset.
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills related to financial and operational data.
- Ability to manage priorities, take ownership, and drive deliverables to completion.
- Ability to work independently while supporting and developing junior talent.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting, Fund Controlling, Audit, or related fields.
- Experience with Real Estate and/or Private Equity fund structures.
- Good knowledge of LuxGAAP; familiarity with IFRS and/or US GAAP is a strong asset.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent).
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Capital activity (calls/distributions)
- Performance fee or waterfall calculations
- Investor reporting
- Fluency in English; French or another European language is an advantage.
