The opportunity 

As a Manager of the Financial Analyst team, you will act as a trusted Business Advisor, providing strategic financial insights and leadership to drive performance across portfolios. You will lead initiatives on margin improvement, inventory optimization, and financial controls, while mentoring Financial Analysts teams and collaborating proactively with Partners to shape financial strategy.

 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Lead weekly inventory position reviews with Partners, identifying trends and risks.
  • Provide strategic guidance tailored to the business needs of each portfolio.
  • Oversee aged unbilled inventory and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Drive KPI controls with a focus on margin improvement and engagement profitability.
  • Monitor engagement budgets and proactively manage deviations.
  • Ensure robust billing controls and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
  • Enforce internal policies, thresholds, and procedures, reporting breaches and recommending improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client-serving teams, offering training, mentorship, and financial advice.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement financial best practices and tools.
  • Contribute to the development of junior team members through coaching and performance feedback.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English and French; other languages are an asset.

 

Ideally, you’ll also

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in financial advisory or business controlling.
  • Experience in managing teams or mentoring junior professionals.
