The opportunity
The Facilities Handyman supports the Facilities Coordinator and the Operations Teams in ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and comfort of all buildings and workspaces. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role, ideal for a junior profile with technical curiosity and a strong sense of service.
Your key responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs: electricity, plumbing, HVAC, minor carpentry, painting, and furniture assembly
- Support office moves, furniture installation, and event setups
- Conduct regular building checks (lighting, ventilation, signage, safety equipment)
- Manage and report incidents, breakdowns, and urgent repairs
- Assist with waste management and cleaning of technical areas
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers as needed
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Report directly to the Facilities Coordinator
Skills and attributes for success
- Basic technical knowledge (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, minor repairs)
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Fluent in French and good English
- Reliability, autonomy, and flexibility
- Good physical condition and ability to work at heights (ladders, scaffolding)
- Team spirit and customer service orientation
- Driver’s license required
