Role Overview:
The Associate Director - Digital Solution Lead is accountable for leading a defined portfolio of digital projects for EY Luxembourg's Assurance Service Line. Acting as a program manager equivalent, the role translates Assurance priorities into an executable digital roadmap, governs demand and delivery across multiple squads, and ensures solutions are adopted, controlled, and delivering measurable value. The Digital Solution Lead partners with Assurance leadership, project teams, Digital Architects Team, to deliver high-impact digital capabilities with strong governance, financial discipline, and client-service focus.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage a defined portfolio of Assurance digital projects from intake and prioritization through delivery, adoption, and benefits realization.
- Translate Assurance Service Line priorities into a practical digital roadmap, aligning portfolio choices with business value, regulatory expectations, user needs, and Digital Factory strategy.
- Lead demand intake, triage, business case shaping, and prioritization with Assurance Partners, Directors, Senior Managers, product owners, and operational stakeholders.
- Establish and run portfolio governance, including steering committee materials, decision logs, RAID management, dependency tracking, and clear escalation routes.
- Manage delivery plans, milestones, scope trade-offs, risks, issues, and interdependencies across multiple concurrent initiatives, intervening directly when delivery confidence is at risk.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Assurance subject matter experts, business analysts, developers, data engineers, UI/UX, QA, change management, and enabling functions.
- Oversee portfolio budget, capacity planning, resource allocation, and financial tracking, ensuring transparency between planned investment, actual spend, and expected value.
- Ensure digital solutions meet business requirements and EY quality expectations, including data protection, cybersecurity, independence, auditability, risk management, and compliance considerations.
- Drive adoption with Assurance users through stakeholder engagement, communication, training readiness, feedback loops, release planning, and post-implementation support.
- Provide concise, executive-ready reporting to Assurance leadership and Digital Factory governance on progress, value, risks, decisions required, and portfolio health.
- Coach project managers, and delivery teams, building delivery discipline and a culture of accountability across the portfolio.
- Promote reuse, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across Assurance digital assets, delivery practices, and operating model ways of working.
Expectations:
- Act as a trusted advisor to Assurance leadership, able to challenge priorities constructively and recommend pragmatic portfolio decisions.
- Operate with senior judgment, balancing strategic portfolio ownership with hands-on delivery support when projects require intervention.
- Influence effectively in a matrix environment, aligning senior stakeholders who may have different commercial, operational, technical, and risk perspectives.
- Represent the Digital Factory in Assurance forums with credibility, clarity, and a strong understanding of how digital delivery improves audit quality, efficiency, and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Audit, or a related field.
- Experience in digital transformation or software/product delivery or program management, ,
- Proven track record leading teams, engagements, budgets, dependencies, risks, and measurable business outcomes.
- Experience in Assurance, audit, professional services, financial services, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred; willingness to build Assurance domain depth quickly is essential.
- Command of Project Management and Agile delivery methods, with the ability to apply governance pragmatically rather than mechanically.
- Working knowledge of digital solution delivery, including data and analytics, workflow automation, AI-enabled capabilities, integration considerations, testing, release management, and support transition.
- Strong financial management, capacity planning, benefits tracking, and executive reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate between business, operational, and technical audiences.
- People leadership experience, including coaching delivery contributors and building high-performing teams in a matrix organization.
- Fluent English is required.
Preferred Experience and Certifications:
- Recognized project, program, product, or agile certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or Product Owner are an asset.
- Experience with delivery and collaboration platforms such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or equivalent enterprise tooling.
- Exposure to audit technology, data governance, automation, AI adoption, or digital operating model transformation in a professional services environment.
