Junior UX/UI Designer - Digital Factory at EY Luxembourg
Join the innovative team at EY Luxembourg's Digital Factory as a Junior UX/UI Designer. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a global network, collaborating with digital product leaders, market innovators, and multinationals. You will help shape digital solutions that drive transformation in the finance sector and beyond, creating value and differentiation for customers, employees, and businesses.
We are seeking a passionate Junior UX/UI Designer with experience and an affinity for working closely with developers and business stakeholders. In this role, you will actively contribute to delivering user-centered digital solutions by creating wireframes, prototypes, and polished, visually appealing user interfaces.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and applying industry standards will be key to your growth and success.
Essential Requirements
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on user experience and usability
- Proficiency in Figma (including prototyping, auto layout, and component creation)
- Familiarity with design systems and responsive design principles
- Understanding of agile/scrum
- Strong analytical skills to interpret user research and usability testing results
- Ability to think from the user’s perspective and advocate for user needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other team members
Key Responsibilities
- UX/UI Design: Create wireframes, prototypes, and user-friendly interfaces for digital solutions, focusing on enhancing user experience in financial applications.
- User Research: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights into user needs and preferences, and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
- Interaction Design: Enhance interactive elements and improve user experience, focusing on transitions, micro-interactions, and animations.
- Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes in Figma to visualize and test design ideas effectively, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
- User-Centric Mindset: Advocate for user-centered design principles and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive user experience.
- DesignOps Improvements: Contribute to the improvement of design materials, assets, and design system components for seamless integration across digital products.
Skills and Attributes for Success
UX Skills:
- Strong understanding of UX design principles, including user research, usability testing,
- and information architecture
- Familiarity with usability testing methods/tools
- Ability to analyze user data and feedback to inform design decisions and improve user
- experience
- Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools
- Strong visual design skills, including knowledge of color theory, typography, and layout principles
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
- Understanding of responsive design principles to ensure products work well across various devices
General Skills:
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for staying up to date with emerging design trends, tools, and methodologies
- Openness to receiving feedback and continuously improving designs
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- Background in Design Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI Design, or a related field
- Experience in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects focused on user experience
- Strong team spirit and a willingness to learn and grow
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work from our Luxembourg office
