Digital Factory - Senior Data Analyst

The opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic Digital Factory team at EY Luxembourg. In this role, you will develop, support, and maintain applications using SQL and Python. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, ensure the application performs as expected in the production environment, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust SQL queries and Python scripts
• Engage with senior leaders to understand business goals and gather requirements
• Write and maintain stored procedures in SQL for data validation and processing
• Provide technical/BAU support to end-users for software applications
• Onboarding of clients and setup the application for production use
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues promptly
• Assist in the logging, tracking, and resolution of incidents and problems
• Providing root cause analysis and weekly reporting of these incidents
• Collaborate with development teams for updates and enhancements
• Document processes, issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing
• Conduct training sessions for users on application functionalities
• Manage incident response and escalation procedures for critical issues
• Ensure regular status updates are shared with the stakeholders
• Maintain effective communication with the stakeholders
• Create and maintain documentation, ensuring security and compliance
• Design data lake solutions and implement data governance frameworks
• Optimize data integration processes for performance and scalability
• Maintain and update service management documentation, including policies, procedures, and user guides
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a knowledge base for service management
• Ensure quality and smooth scheduling/running of automated processes in production
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery
• Taking responsibility ensuring change control and change management procedures are followed while deploying/fixing things in production
• Participate in service improvement initiatives and projects

Qualify for the Role You Must Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline or a degree in business with technology consulting or technical experiences 
• 3 years of experience in data analytics or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL (e.g., complex joins, window functions, CTEs).
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Azure Data Lake / Blob (Storage purpose)
• Coordinate independently with business stakeholders and understand the business requirements, implement the requirements using ADF
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Stored procedures
• Working experience in an Agile base delivery will be considered as an asset
• Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
• Good knowledge and understanding of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change management process
• You are organized, flexible and able to manage several tasks
• Excellent communication in English (French will be considered as an asset) and Excellent interpersonal skills
• You are a team player and have excellent technical & analytical skills
• Experience with PowerApps will be considered as an asset
• Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with repetitive inquiries
• A bit of accounting knowledge would be an advantage
