Digital Factory - Digital Operations Lead - Associate Director 

 

The opportunity 

The Digital Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring execution, governance, and operational efficiency within the Digital Factory. This role drives scalable operations, compliance and risk management, ensuring digital initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with business objectives.

The role oversees Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, including platform reliability, incident response and workflow automation ensuring high availability and operational resilience. Additionally, it leads the Onboarding & ETL function, ensuring structured data integration, transformation, and availability across applications based on predefined models.

Given the high-stakes nature of digital execution, this role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in Agile portfolio management, compliance, and operational governance to support efficient, scalable and secure digital services.

 

Your key responsibilities

  1. Execution & Digital Portfolio Management:

    • Oversee end-to-end execution of Digital Factory initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable impact.

    • Implement Agile Portfolio Management (Lean Portfolio Management – LPM, SAFe, and Scrum practices) to balance speed, efficiency, and governance.

    • Work closely with Product Management & Technology Teams to ensure smooth execution of digital solutions.

    • Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning across the Digital Factory.

  2. Business-as-Usual (BAU) & Data Onboarding Management:

    • Lead and manage the BAU team, ensuring ongoing operational support and service continuity.

    • Oversee data onboarding and ETL processes, ensuring efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into application ecosystems.

    • Establish standardized training, documentation, and process improvement initiatives for onboarding and BAU functions.

    • Track and continuously optimize operational workflows, ensuring teams are working at peak efficiency.

  3. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure alignment with enterprise security, risk, and compliance frameworks (CSSF, GDPR, ISO 27001).

    • Establish and monitor operational KPIs, risk registers, and compliance dashboards to proactively manage risks.

    • Define best practices for infrastructure, security and operational scalability

    • Drive audit-readiness and ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and financial compliance requirements.

    • Establish structured governance models to improve operational alignment across teams

  4. Financial & Budget Oversight:

    • Monitor and control budget allocation, cost efficiency, and ROI tracking for Digital Factory initiatives.

    • Partner with Finance teams to optimize spending, drive cost transparency, and prevent budget overruns.

    • Implement FinOps (Financial Operations for Cloud) to optimize cloud expenditures and operational costs.

  5. Operational Excellence & Service Reliability:

    • Define and oversee IT operations, cloud infrastructure management, and service governance to ensure business continuity.

    • Lead incident response, problem resolution, and service performance monitoring across DF platforms.

    • Establish clear KPIs for system uptime and issue resolution ensuring service excellence

    • Ensure strong collaboration with technology, security, and compliance teams to prevent operational risks.

    • Optimize operational workflows using AI-driven insights & automation

  6. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Act as a trusted partner to business, technology, and product teams, ensuring DF operates as a high-performance digital unit.

    • Provide executive-level reporting on operational performance, financial health, and risk mitigation strategies.

    • Drive a culture of agility, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Digital Factory.

 

Skills and attributes for success 

  • 10+ years of experience in digital operations, portfolio management, IT governance, or program execution.

  • Expertise in Agile execution, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), and enterprise-level governance.

  • Proven experience in BAU, digital operations or DevOps leadership in a fast-paced tech-driven environment

  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance (CSSF, GDPR, risk frameworks) and financial management.

  • Expertise in site reliability engineering (SRE), cloud operations and automation

  • Strong leadership skills to drive execution, remove roadblocks, and optimize operational performance.

  • Proven ability to balance agility with structured governance, ensuring projects remain efficient and compliant.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
