The opportunity
At EY, the FAAS Team (Financial Accounting Advisory Services) provides varying types of accounting and non-accounting services covering wide range of topics and experiences. For Wealth & Asset Management clients, such expertise includes (but is not limited to):
- Accounting assessments
- Financial and non-financial due diligence support
- Financial and non-financial reporting
- Process improvement
- Valuation support
- Financial and non-financial analysis
- Audit remediation
- Internal controls assessment
- Regulatory reporting
- Technical finance training
- Benchmarking and market analysis
Considering the close integration between finance, risk and non-financial performance, the FAAS Team not only works with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) but also with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in navigating and addressing financial, operational, and regulatory challenges that clients are facing.
Our team works with companies across various industries such as banks and other financial institutions, funds (private equity, private debt, real estate, etc.) and commercial companies.
Your key responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of high-quality advisory services to clients, supporting the team in addressing their key challenges.
- Contribute to building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including C-level executives, by providing excellent support.
- Collaborate with team members on projects, helping to ensure alignment with client objectives and deliverables.
- Support internal and external projects with other service lines and EY offices, contributing to comprehensive solutions.
- Provide assistance in data analysis, reporting, and the preparation of client deliverables and presentations.
- Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in Wealth & Asset Management.
Skills and attributes for success
- Graduate in economics, business, or management with a focus in finance; relevant coursework or internships in finance or related fields is a plus.
- Strong knowledge in Wealth & Asset Management (including private equity, venture capital, private debt, real estate or infrastructure), finance, or related areas, including internships or entry-level positions.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts and principles, with a willingness to learn and develop expertise in Wealth & Asset Management.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of supporting data analysis and reporting tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and engage with clients.
- Familiarity with valuation guidelines and regulatory frameworks is a plus, with a desire to deepen knowledge in these areas.
- Enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment and values diverse perspectives.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized, proactive, and flexible, with a strong focus on delivering quality results.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbally; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
