The opportunity

Our PAS practice provides services to manage the cost and risks involved in HR plans, programs and systems related to a global workforce. We advise the part of business strategy related to people. As a Global Equity Staff, you’ll have the opportunity to work with global clients to address their most complex people challenges and ultimately improve and drive sustainable business results.

 

Your key responsibilities

With the Global Equity team, you’ll join a talented group of professionals that provide that provide small, mid-size and large clients with compliance and advisory services on tax implications related to global share incentive programs. Our capabilities include complex cross border tax calculations covering various share incentive vehicles, global equity tax and payroll advisory services, process improvements and design related services with regards to global share incentive programs, and large global due diligence projects involving various countries and applicable tax implications for these programs.

As a key resource on large-scale global equity related projects, you will work to support engagement teams to deliver quality client service, deliver insightful solutions and balance multiple priorities in a very fast-paced environment. You will also be expected to have strong communication skills as well as the desire to develop that skillset; you will be expected to be resourceful and to show proactive interest in learning and growing in both technical and business acumen; lastly, you are expected to be coachable and to desire mentorship.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Successful delivery of tax projects - demonstrate technical acumen and business driven approach to solving complex challenges and/or curiosity to grow in these areas
  • Show proactive coachability, requesting feedback regularly and show responsiveness to feedback. 

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in related field; MST, MAcc or JD/LLM preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in global equity, expatriate tax or payroll at a Big 4 or accounting/tax firm
  • If eligible, US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership or active progress toward certification.  If not yet eligible, either Enrolled Agent status or willingness to become an EA.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to confidently influence colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Strong analytical and data management skills and the ability to convert complex data into meaningful strategic insights
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Global accounting or payroll experience or understanding
  • IT background - implementation focus and effective roll out of implementation plans

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $65,200 to $107,500.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $78,200 to $122,100.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
