EY advises clients on how to architect, migrate, and modernize their digital workplace using Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform. Our work spans strategy and technical architecture, solution delivery, and technical advisory services, with a strong emphasis on SharePoint modernization, large-scale content and workload migrations, and adoption of the Power Platform.

Role summary

In this role, you will lead and deliver enterprise SharePoint Server (on-premises) to Microsoft 365 migrations and build modern SharePoint Online intranets. You will shape target information architecture, migration waves, and modernization approaches (including workflow/forms modernization to Power Platform), and you will partner closely with client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.

As a senior consultant, you will bring deep experience across SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 administration (including Entra ID, Teams, and OneDrive). You will lead and participate in full project lifecycles—discovery, assessment, target-state design, build/configuration, testing, migration execution, and deployment—and you will contribute to high-quality client outcomes through solution blueprints, design reviews, and cross-workstream collaboration.

As an M365 SharePoint Engineer, you will have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management which enable you lead and participate in enterprise solution implementations, including all project phases such as discovery, definition, build, test and deploy. You will be an integral part of the delivery team to ensure the solutions built for our clients meet their needs to help drive their success through various methods such as solution blueprints, design reviews and cross-workstream collaborations to provide a total solution.

You will focus on the design, customization and optimization of digital workplace solutions, particularly with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform. You will collaborate with various EY groups with digital capabilities to pursue and deliver digital engagements and deliver solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision, strategy and roadmap to life.

Key responsibilities

You will focus primarily on (1) SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online migrations, (2) implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets, and (3) modernizing legacy customization patterns to the Power Platform. You will collaborate with internal EY teams and client stakeholders to shape and deliver complex enterprise engagements, balancing user experience, governance, and security/compliance requirements.

  • Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define migration scope and waves, estimate effort/complexity, and establish cutover and hypercare plans.
  • Design the target intranet: define information architecture, hub/site strategy, navigation, search approach, metadata/content types, and permissions model.
  • Execute migrations: configure and operate Microsoft and third-party migration tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, and drive successful cutovers.
  • Modernize solutions: map legacy workflows/forms (e.g., SharePoint Designer/InfoPath/Nintex/K2) to Power Automate and Power Apps patterns where appropriate.
  • Enable operations & governance: establish standards, provisioning/lifecycle controls, and operational reporting (including SharePoint Advanced Management where applicable).
  • Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client-ready deliverables, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.

Your experience with enterprise tenant-to-tenant migrations (M&A, divestitures, consolidations) and on-premises to cloud migrations will be critical to success in this role.
