The role will be a 12-month Maternity cover role.

 

As a Senior Manager in our Financial Services People Consulting team, you will: 

  • Contribute to and lead workstreams across a diverse range of complex engagements in the financial services sector.
  • Develop innovative solutions for clients, adapting methods and practices to fit client needs.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships, building trusted relationships with clients. 
  • Identify new opportunities, contribute to preparation of proposals and wider business development activities.
  • Manage the operational aspects and risk management of client engagements.
  • Coach and provide learning opportunities for junior team members.
  • Contribute to delivery of wider strategic goals across People Consulting.

 

With a specific focus on leadership and learning in Banking you will:

  • Lead the development of innovative leadership solutions, services and products and take these to market through our accounts in financial services. 
  • Contribute to the development of our business, engaging with our account teams and clients.
  • Lead complex, multi-year engagements with significant clients or manage across workstreams managing the quality delivery of services to our clients. 
  • Shape and lead pursuits and proposals with executive level decision makers in HR and L&D that help address their leadership, talent, people and performance challenges with the best innovation and thinking from across EY and third-party providers in our ecosystem. 
  • Shape and lead the development of thought leadership in leadership as well as innovative ideas for research and insight generation by bringing your innovation, understanding of the industry and latest trends to ensure to delivery of market-leading, relevant and targeted solutions and content rich thought leadership to clients.
  • Developing leadership strategies for clients and design and delivering learning solutions – including leading the design, development and deployment of learning assets while leveraging existing IP and assets.
  • Leading on the development of leadership propositions for clients in learning solutions on a range of different topic areas.

 

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Authenticity and strong personal impact, able to influence and persuade stakeholders to gain support for major changes and key decisions.
  • Established experience, credentials and ideally qualifications in leadership or organisational psychology and a strong network across the industry. 
  • Demonstrable experience in leading large-scale, complex, multi-year projects and engagements often with several parties.
  • Ability to lead complex projects or programmes of work and ability to adapt to changing requirements or inputs.  Leading teams collaboratively across workstreams and empowering to maximise performance. 
  • Creative thinking, using agile methods and innovative approaches to tackle complex problems and to deliver insightful, practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Experience in the end-to-end pursuit and sales cycle including proposal generation through to the final pitch. 
  • A growth mindset, ability to learn and passionate about helping create and develop leaders and building a Better Working World.

 

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • Established core consulting skills gained through working in a professional services firm or global consultancy.
  • Experience consulting with Financial Services clients, with a specific emphasis of working within Banking.
  • Demonstrable leadership capability, including architecting complex learning solutions through analysis, design, content development, and train the trainer, to ensure measurable outcomes within large, complex organisations.
  • Experience leading large-scale pursuits or business development activities for clients.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Organisational psychology qualifications, behavioural science qualifications or CIPD Level 7.
  • Experience working with clients or in the financial services sector including banking, insurance, and wealth and asset management.
