The opportunity:
The Banking & Payments Transformation team brings together a deep knowledge of banking and payments industry trends and strong execution experience to help our clients develop and execute their transformation agendas and deliver on strategic business objectives.
Our clients are facing increasing pressure from regulators to improve customer outcomes and reduce systemic risk; from shareholders to improve returns through improved efficiency and reduce cost; and from customers to deliver seamless, digital and customer-friendly services which match those being offered by traditional and new, often fully digital competitors.
As a Senior Consultant within our Banking & Payments Transformation team, focussed on payments transformations, you will support the delivery of high-impact transformation engagements within a dynamic payments landscape. You will support clients to implement operating model changes, process improvements, navigating regulatory developments, delivering cost efficiencies and adopting new technologies. Applying strong consulting fundamentals, you will deliver high-quality analysis, produce client-ready outputs, and support workstream execution, helping translate objectives into tangible outcomes across complex multi-rail environments.
To qualify for the role, you must have some or all the following:
- Experience supporting the delivery of transformation programmes within financial services or a related industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure issues and develop clear, evidence-based insights.
- Ability to produce high-quality, client-ready deliverables (e.g. presentations, analysis, documentation) to a consistent standard.
- Experience contributing to projects and workstreams, managing tasks independently, and delivering against agreed timelines.
- Understanding of operating model design, process improvement, or technology-enabled change.
- Exposure to payments, banking, or fintech domains, with a working knowledge of key products, processes, or rails.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions and support implementation activities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with client teams and internal colleagues.
- Proficiency in core consulting tools and techniques (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, data analysis, workshop support).
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environment.
Success in this role would be measured by your ability to:
- Deliver high-quality, client-ready outputs that clearly articulate insights and support decision-making.
- Effectively contribute to workstream delivery, meeting timelines and maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Translate analysis into practical recommendations that drive tangible client outcomes.
- Structure and solve problems using data and evidence, demonstrating sound judgement.
- Collaborate effectively within teams and build positive, trusted relationships with clients.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining delivery quality in fast-paced environments.
- Take ownership of defined tasks and proactively identify and address delivery risks or issues.
- Support the implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment between business requirements and outcomes.
- Continuously build domain knowledge and apply it to enhance the quality and relevance of your work.
- Support business development activity through research, insight generation, and support to proposals and market materials.
- Provide PMO and workstream delivery support across large-scale payments programmes.

- We offer a competitive remuneration package where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance. Our comprehensive Total Rewards package includes support for flexible working and career development, and with MyReward you can select benefits that suit your needs, covering holidays, health and well-being, insurance, savings, and a wide range of discounts, offers and promotions.
