As a Senior Consultant within our Technology Risk team, you will help our clients identify and manage their technology risks whilst simultaneously gaining skills to develop a career in a fast-growing professional services organization.

 

Our clients seek independent advice and assurance on diverse issues such as: compliance, the design and operation of internal privacy controls, the security of business critical systems, the delivery of major IT enabled programs addressing relevant IT security and privacy risks, their relationships with third parties, and their management, stewardship and ability to exploit business critical data.

This, in addition to the constantly evolving nature of organizations via mergers and acquisitions and organizational restructuring, new system implementations and the complex, changing legal and regulatory landscapes in which organizations operate, has resulted in Privacy becoming one of the tougher challenges currently facing our clients.

Our clients need to deal effectively with Privacy related risks, whilst providing the business with pragmatic and flexible solutions that deliver real value.

In response to the strong market demand and to meet our client needs, we are looking to recruit Senior Consultants who can work directly with clients, to help them understand the IT security and privacy risks associated with technologies that support their business.

Your key responsibilities:

 

You will be working within the Data team under the Technology Risk Consulting Practice which is one of the areas identified by EY for tremendous investment and growth. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and deliver Data Protection assurance and advisory engagements to our clients including:

  • Responding to Data Protection ‘Request for Proposals’.
  • Project scoping and risk management.
  • Developing Data Protection strategies and roadmaps.
  • Reviewing and creating Data Protection related documentation including policies, procedures, Record of Processing Activities (RoPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), System Inventory, Technical and organizational measures etc.
  • Creating Data Protection related training content and imparting cross functional training on Data Protection.
  • End to End delivery of Data Protection engagements including gap assessments, Data Protection regulatory compliance reviews, maturity assessments and internal audit to help business stay compliant with relevant Data Protection regulatory requirements.

 

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Minimum experience of 3 years working in the field of Data Protection. Thorough understanding of the key Data Protection concepts, including understanding of global Data Protection regulations (including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, LGPD etc.).
  • Recognized Privacy qualifications preferred (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, CIPT etc.).
  • Functional and non-functional privacy requirements definition and documentation experience.
  • Demonstrable breadth of skills/experience and market awareness.
  • Proven ability to analyze problems and communicating solutions to a wide range of audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and project management skills.
