About EY-Parthenon Corporate & Growth Strategy

At EY-P Strategy, we put our purpose — Building a better working world — at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to using unconventional yet pragmatic thinking to deliver actionable strategies to help our clients navigate the ever-changing business landscape.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that helps transform client businesses using cutting-edge research, analytics and AI-powered tools. The London office focuses on Education, Industrials & Energy, Health Sciences & Wellness, Retail & Consumer Goods, and Technology, Media & Telecom.

This role sits within our Health Sciences & Wellness team and focuses on Life Sciences pricing and market access strategy. We work collaboratively to tackle complex challenges and deliver exceptional results for our clients.

We advise on a broad range of strategic issues, including core value propositions, competitive positioning and growth strategies. Within Life Sciences, we help pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech clients navigate pricing, reimbursement and market access challenges so that innovative products can reach the patients who need them. EY-Parthenon Strategy employees work closely with influential and highly experienced professionals within the firm and at clients’ organisations.

Our work applies deep Life Sciences, health system and strategy knowledge across projects such as:

  • Pricing, reimbursement and market access strategy, including price potential, payer strategy and product launch sequencing
  • Value proposition, value communication strategy, payer objection handler development and negotiation strategy
  • HTA, evidence and launch readiness strategy, including evidence-gap assessment and implications for HEOR and real-world evidence planning
  • Disease area strategy, patient journey assessment, stakeholder mapping, and funding landscape assessments
  • Portfolio, indication and market prioritisation, opportunity assessment, and innovative access and contracting models

You’ll lead high-performing, integrated teams supporting global and local pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech clients. The variety of therapeutic areas, markets and product lifecycle stages will provide continuous learning and development opportunities.

We are expanding our Life Sciences team with Senior Consultants at Manager level to lead pricing and market access strategy engagements. You will help clients understand payer and health-system needs, demonstrate product value, make pricing and access decisions, and prepare for successful launches.

You will lead the day-to-day delivery of multiple engagements or major workstreams, serving as a primary client contact and managing teams to deliver high-quality work on time and within scope. You will structure complex questions, set the analytical direction, review outputs and translate evidence into clear, implementable recommendations.

The role combines deep pricing and market access expertise with strong consulting leadership. You will manage senior stakeholders, lead payer and expert research, facilitate workshops, and bring together perspectives from strategy, HEOR, evidence generation, medical affairs and wider commercial teams. You will also help grow the practice by identifying opportunities, developing proposals and pitches, building intellectual capital, and supporting recruitment, learning and professional development. You will coach and mentor junior colleagues while fostering an inclusive, high-performing team environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will lead your teams in:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of multiple engagements or major workstreams, establishing clear scopes, work plans, governance, timelines and quality standards
  • Structure complex pricing and market access questions, set the analytical approach, and oversee rigorous primary research, secondary research and quantitative analysis
  • Direct work across pricing and reimbursement strategy, payer strategy, value proposition, HTA and evidence strategy, launch readiness, and innovative access models
  • Design and lead payer and expert interviews, advisory boards, client workshops and working sessions
  • Synthesize evidence into clear recommendations and compelling client-ready storylines, and present confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Build trusted client relationships, identify follow-on opportunities, and lead or contribute to proposals, pitches and business development
  • Manage, coach and provide actionable feedback to team members while contributing to thought leadership, capability building and an inclusive culture

Skills and attributes for success

Successful candidates combine pricing and market access expertise with strong consulting judgement and team leadership. You will be intellectually curious, commercially minded and able to turn complex evidence and stakeholder perspectives into practical recommendations, while building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

What we look for

  • Be educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent and have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in strategy consulting, market access consulting or a combination of consulting and pharmaceutical, biotech or medtech industry roles
  • Have a strong track record of leading multiple projects or major workstreams, managing teams and delivering high-quality work to scope, timeline and budget
  • Demonstrate substantial experience across pricing, reimbursement and market access, with expertise in areas such as payer strategy, value proposition, HTA and evidence strategy, launch readiness or innovative contracting
  • Have experience managing senior client stakeholders, leading workshops and primary research, and developing and presenting strategic recommendations
  • Demonstrate strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving, clear written and verbal communication, and sound commercial judgement

Ideally, you will also

  • Bring knowledge of payer, HTA, pricing and reimbursement systems across multiple major markets
  • Have experience working with global and local market access teams across therapeutic areas and product lifecycle stages
  • Have contributed to business development, proposal leadership, client account growth or market access thought leadership
