Reward Manager – Systems and Analytics

Level 3 – Assistant Director (Manager)

12-month FTC/ secondment

Location: Luton, Reading, London or Birmingham (Hybrid –  currently 1–2 office days per week)

 

We are recruiting for a Reward Manager – Systems and Analytics (L3) on a 12-month fixed term contract, a key role within our Reward team. This role requires deep expertise in HR systems and compensation processes and will be responsible for the effective planning, implementation, administration, and maintenance of EY’s current compensation system (Payscale) as well as related technologies such as Benify (used for compensation statements). The role will also lead on analytics and reporting for compensation-related activity.

 

As we continue to evolve, including a potential transition to the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation module, this role will play a key part in shaping and supporting that change.

 

We’re looking for someone who is both system-savvy and analytically strong – capable of navigating complex compensation processes, bringing data to life for stakeholders, and continuously improving systems and tools to meet evolving business needs.

 

Your key Responsibilities                                                                               

Pay Review, Compensation & team administration

  • Manage all aspects of our compensation platform, Payscale, for Annual and Mid-Year pay reviews in collaboration with the team’s project manager.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third-party provider to identify system requirements, create workflows and process improvements to maximise our compensation system efficiency
  • Work with IT suppliers to prioritise changes in alignment with business objectives, defining requirements and rigorously testing changes throughout the lifecycle
  • Create and maintain comprehensive systems documentation, user guides and standard operating procedures
  • Lead change management initiatives related to compensation system, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption
  • Manage relationships with system vendors, and ensuring service delivery meets the firm’s standards
  • Maintain and develop a number of internally focused excel based reward tools
  • Analyse internal and external data to identify market trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
  • Deliver ad-hoc modelling for compensation processes such as the annual review, compensation structure refresh, job architecture and any global initiatives
  • The role holder will have support from a Reward analyst

 

Data Governance, Business Intelligence/Analytics

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security
  • Leverage data analytics for strategic decision making and to provide insights to key stakeholders
  • Support the design, implementation, and administration of reward dashboards
  • Develop and deliver training programmes for end-users on system usage
  • Bring thoughtful compensation perspectives on talent-related challenges through in-depth research and analysis of employee and market data.  

 

Relationship Management

  • Build strong and trusted relationships both internally across Talent, Operations, and the business, and externally with third-party vendors such as Payscale, Benify, or future technology partners.
  • Act as a key point of contact for system-related queries and resolution.
  • Support the project manager in the overall delivery and governance of compensation system projects, helping mitigate risks and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams, promoting open communication, shared ownership, and delivery excellence.

                                                        

To qualify for the role, you must have              

  • Proven experience implementing or managing a compensation platform (essential).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and associated tools (advanced in Excel and Power BI)
  • Ability to deal with and manage uncertainty and incomplete information with shifting priorities
  • Experience supporting complex projects with multiple stakeholders and delivery components.
  • Strong stakeholder management with business and Talent leaders to facilitate discussions around compensation and Total Reward
  • Energetic and self-motivated individual, adept at thriving in a fast-paced setting, and skilled in building and leading agile teams.
  • Willing to work remotely with touch days 1-2 times a week in either our Birmingham or London office.

                                                                 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience of the PayScale Compensation system is desirable, and/or experience of the SAP Success Factors compensation module. In addition, the ability to co-ordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience of working on modelling tools, and providing analytics to business for strategic decision making
  • Proven track record of working as a HR systems manager or in a similar capacity, with a deep understanding of HR processes and ideally Reward.
  • Demonstrable experience in gathering and analysing data along with proven strong communication and relationship building skills
