Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
The opportunity
This exciting role is inside the Network Access Control Product team, part of the ESPM Network Product team in Enterprise Technology. We are seeking an experienced technical product delivery manager with a network/security background. In the role of a Network Access Control Product Delivery Manager, you'll assisting the ESPM Network Access Control Product Owner with requirements analysis, content creation and general product management activities as we adopt a new methodology for managing ESPM deliverables. This will include ensuring key technologies associated with network access control [NAC] solutions are suitably documented and stakeholder communications are managed correctly. Additionally, you will work with technology project teams and business clients to translate business requirements into solutions and documentation.
Your key responsibilities
Your role is essential to the success of the team’s products. As a Product Delivery Manager within the NAC Product team, you will have the responsibility for the end-to-end life cycle of NAC Products, working with the Office Network solutions service Leader to deliver and integrate product across the EY enterprise.
You will be involved in all aspects of product delivery management including Planning, Innovation, working with both Engineering & Operational Support, Financial Management, Security and Compliance, Vendor and Stakeholder Management, Marketing and Adoption.
The role has various reporting requirements which will require the ability to create, revise, and adjust relevant product reports based on the audience. Performing fit-gap analyses of business requirements against the capabilities of the technical solution, including identifying areas where requirements and package capabilities are not in sync. Working with technology vendors to understand the roadmap and whether the identified gaps can be filled, and then further refine the product roadmap as delivered to internal stakeholders.
Skills and attributes for success
- This role requires a technical awareness of, but not necessarily proficiency in, enterprise grade office switching and access control technologies of various types, the interactions between these products and their dependent technologies to enable the NAC solution to be fit for purpose in a large global organisation.
- Familiarity of Product Management tools [Aha! preferred] to enable the generation of product plans, roadmaps and iterative releases in a technology environment.
- Work with business sponsors and stakeholders to understand requirements and turn that into actionable plans whilst balancing both local and global requirements and understanding one size does not fit all.
- Able to make technically aware decisions in support of Architecture, Strategy, Service Management and Operations functions within the Engineering and Product Management and escalated troubleshooting contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with external vendors and suppliers in the NAC industry sector.
- Excellent knowledge of NAC technology, enterprise grade network access layer switching environments, management and monitoring tools associated with EY security systems.
- To qualify for the role, you must have.
- Knowledge of NAC technologies, experience with Cisco ISE and related switching technologies an advantage
- 802.1x Authentication and the interaction with external authentication mechanisms.
- Knowledge of dependent technologies such as
- Windows and Macintosh operating systems specifically around networking.
- PKI / MFA solutions
- Office technologies that require network connectivity including IoT.
- Reporting and data mining capability. Splunk or MS Sentinel preferred.
- You must be a Self-starter who can operate without direct supervision on multiple complex projects and tasks in parallel.
- Present complex and difficult messages skilfully, using a variety of media and methods.
- Produce writing that contains clear, precise, descriptive language.
- Maintains awareness of related new and emerging technologies.
- Ideally, you’ll also have
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management or a related discipline, plus an industry accreditation or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrable experience in Product Management.
- Service management qualifications [ITIL Foundation]
