Manager – Transformation (Hybrid Product Owner)

Role highlights

    • Hybrid delivery + product leadership for complex platform change.
    • Run TMOs and own value‑driven backlogs aligned to domain/architecture.
    • Ensure safe, predictable delivery across multi‑vendor squads.

The opportunity

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. We help Financial Services clients navigate complex, technology-enabled transformations. If you’re excited by solving hard problems in a fast‑moving environment, this is where your expertise makes a real impact.

Role purpose

Lead transformation offices and act as a Hybrid Product Owner. Align discovery and delivery to domain goals, target architecture and measurable outcomes; manage dependencies between fast‑cycle digital/AI and slow‑cycle core releases.

Your key responsibilities

    • TMO leadership: cadence, governance, RAID, benefits tracking; drive clarity on scope, decisions and risks.
    • Hybrid Product Ownership: define outcomes/OKRs, prioritise value, write actionable stories/NFRs and acceptance criteria aligned to domain contracts and platform guardrails.
    • Dependency and release management across product teams and vendors; ensure release safety and change control.
    • Stakeholder management: facilitate exec forums; transparent status and financials; support proposals and mobilisations.
    • Shape and deliver scalable, resilient, end‑to‑end solutions, ensuring designs are fully considered, robust and aligned to agreed architectural standards.
    • Act as the conduit between business and technology functions; translate outcomes into clear design options and actionable plans.
    • Provide high‑quality guidance and documentation to enable a rapid, secure path from design to build/run.
    • Contribute to business development: shape proposals, provide solution credibility in pursuits, and support mobilisation of wins.
    • Develop people and communities of practice; coach junior colleagues and embed reusable patterns, assets and playbooks.

Skills & experience – required

    • Proven transformation/programme delivery in technology‑enabled change.
    • Product ownership skills: discovery to delivery, backlog management and product metrics.
    • Excellent communication bridging business, architects and engineering.
    • Strong grasp of governance, risk, controls and change processes in regulated environments.

Ideally, you’ll also have

    • Experience with platform/architecture‑aware backlogs (APIs/events, domain contracts, NFRs).
    • Hands‑on with delivery tooling (e.g., Jira/ADO), flow metrics and value tracking.

Success measures (KPIs)

    • Delivery predictability and dependency burn‑down; milestone adherence.
    • Value realisation vs plan; adoption and product outcome metrics.
    • Reduced rework and change‑related incidents.

What we offer

A competitive rewards package, flexibility in how and where you work, coaching and feedback from engaged colleagues, and opportunities to develop new skills (including access to technology learning pathways).
