The indirect tax transformation team works with a variety of organisations across all sectors. The business has been growing year on year and to seize the opportunities available in the market, the team requires new talent.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join EY’s specialist Indirect Tax Transformation team, with a focus on data services. This role will provide an opportunity to be involved in a fast growth part of the UKI Tax practice. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with significant multinational clients and to engage with our global EY network, providing a great opportunity to build and expand your corporate network.
We are looking for a Manager, a technology-focused professional with strong technology and business process skills with a keen interest in digital tax transformation. The successful candidate will lead project workstreams and support clients in implementing scalable eInvoicing and digital reporting solutions.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead workstreams within eInvoicing and tax technology transformation projects.
- Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into technology-enabled solutions.
- Design and document compliant eInvoicing and eReporting processes.
- Support implementation and optimization of SAP DRC, Vertex, PEPPOL, and related compliance solutions.
- Drive testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.
- Evaluate impacts of new regulatory requirements and advise on solution options.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Support business development activities and proposal development.
- Coach junior team members and contribute to team capability building.
Skills and attributes for success
What we look for
- Understanding of global eInvoicing, Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC), and digital reporting requirements.
- Experience leading workstreams within tax technology, ERP, or compliance transformation projects.
- Experience with requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
- Experience with SAP DRC, SAP S/4HANA, Vertex, EDICOM, Pagero, or similar solutions.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within cross-functional project teams.
- Proven ability to solve complex business and technology challenges.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Understanding of integrations, APIs, EDI, and middleware technologies.
- Knowledge of VAT reporting lifecycles and tax data requirements.
- Experience working with data analytics, automation, and reporting tools.
- Previous consulting experience is desirable.
