Insights & Content Director

EY is seeking an Insights & Content Director to lead our Financial Restructuring (FR) market insight agenda in the UK, working collaboratively across our EY Parthenon business. This senior (part-time) role sits at the intersection of data, market analysis, thought leadership, media engagement and client insight.

You will work with the business to set the market insight agenda—defining priority themes and translating fast-moving, complex signals into clear, credible insight.

You will play a key role in strengthening EY’s external profile around stress and distressed commentary - as a visible market voice, shaping how EY interprets and communicates restructuring and sector trends while safeguarding the firm’s reputation through high-quality, risk-aware commentary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver client-facing insight, including articles, thought leadership, partner briefings, webcasts and events.
  • Set the narrative as an external voice, engaging confidently with internal and external audiences to communicate insight and reinforce market positioning.
  • Serve as Lead Author and senior editorial authority across all Profit Warning outputs, ensuring content delivers external impact and media cut-through across reports, digital and social channels.
  • Work closely with Brand, Marketing & Communications to drive proactive media engagement, including press strategy, commentary and broadcast opportunities.
  • Support senior client and intermediary relationships through timely, relevant market intelligence and insight-led conversations.
  • Lead coordination and provide strategic guidance across global and European teams, sector specialists and external data providers, ensuring consistency, effective knowledge sharing and the application of best practice.

  • Lead continued development of the support team, providing direction, coaching and performance oversight to deliver high-quality, market-facing insight.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience of engaging at Partner/C‑suite level, overseeing complex analysis, and delivering clear, insight-driven narratives that influence senior decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with strong editorial judgement and experience as a public-facing voice.
  • Proven ability to translate complex, data-driven analysis into compelling narratives for external audiences, including live forums.
  • Understanding of the role of AI and automation in data analysis and content development, applied with appropriate judgement and oversight.
  • Confidence engaging with journalists, senior clients and external audiences, including presenting and handling Q&A.
  • Deep understanding of risk, quality and governance in reputationally sensitive communications.
  • Commercial awareness, intellectual curiosity and credibility as a visible market commentator.

This is a part-time opportunity, requiring 3 working days per week and regular travel to London approximately twice monthly.
