What you'll be doing

As a Senior Manager, you'll be a key member of the leadership team, helping clients navigate complex tax issues while supporting the continued growth of our Private Capital practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of complex UK and international tax advisory projects for asset managers, investment funds and private capital businesses.
• Advising on a wide range of fund and asset management matters, including fund formation, management structures, acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations, cross-border investments and investor tax considerations.
• Acting as a trusted adviser and primary relationship lead for a portfolio of high-profile clients.
• Identifying opportunities to expand relationships and deliver broader EY solutions across Tax, Strategy and Transactions, Consulting and Law.
• Contributing to business development initiatives, client proposals and thought leadership activities.
• Supporting the operational and strategic management of the team.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members and creating an inclusive team culture.

What we're looking for

We're interested in individuals who combine strong technical capability with commercial awareness, leadership skills and a passion for building client relationships.

You'll likely bring:

• Significant tax advisory experience working with asset managers, investment funds and private capital clients.
• Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax and international tax matters relevant to the asset management sector, together with the income tax and capital gains tax issues affecting management teams.
• Experience advising on fund structures, management entities, partnerships, transactions and investment-related tax issues.
• A track record of building and managing senior client relationships.
• Experience leading complex engagements and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and business development experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and practically.
• A collaborative leadership style and a passion for developing others.
• ACA, CTA, Law qualification , HMRC Tax Inspector (with full technical training) or equivalent.
