The Opportunity:

The EY Foundation is looking for a Employment Coach to provide targeted support and interventions to young people on our programmes to support them to achieve their potential. You will work directly with young people on our programmes to support them into a positive destination (with a particular focus on employment outcomes).


Whatever your specific responsibilities and specialisms, as a Coach you will be customer and delivery-focused, structured and organised in your approach, highly engaged and interactive with colleagues and beneficiaries of our work. You will take personal ownership of your work and will be proactive in your own development. You will be collaborative with colleagues and supportive of each other in achieving our collective targets and objectives.


Many of the young people that the EY Foundation works with are in education, therefore this role will need to work flexibly to accommodate their schedules and will involve regular evening working. 


Your key responsibilities

  • Maintain positive relationships with key young people providers, local schools and colleges, local authorities etc.
  • Build network of referral partners / relevant support to signpost participants to and potentially commission for our programmes
  • Ensure exceptional client service throughout the lifecycle of the programme
  • Work closely with the programme leads and Hub Leaders across EY Foundation hubs to ensure consistently high standards across all operating locations in the UK
  • Filter, respond or escalate enquiries from programme volunteers and employers
  • Deliver exceptional programmes for young people across the country in line with EY Foundation business plan and strategic targets
  • Help co-ordinate, plan and deliver sessions which are delivered at EY, schools and corporate partners including the engagement of volunteers.
  • Use principals of co-design to shape programme activities in partnership with participants
  • Administrative tasks related to the delivery of our paid employability programmes (e.g. Beyond Your Limits)
  • Deliver work in line with EY Foundation policies and procedures  
  • Input into drafting regular progress reports for the Hub/Programme Leaders and Head of Young People’s Services where necessary
  • Create individual progression plans with young people
  • Provide progression coaching and pastoral support to an identified caseload of young people
  • Provide effective individual or group sessions designed to support progression
  • Support young people to overcome any barriers to progression by providing holistic support
  • Track and monitor young people progress and destinations
  • Collect and analyse data and feedback from the young people, volunteers and employers partaking in the programmes, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Represent the EY Foundation at events (internal and external and includes evening/breakfast events)


To qualify for the role you must:

  • Experience of working in a similar role required
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in an administrative or operational role
  • Close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times
  • Delivering excellent customer service, to internal or external customers or service users
  • Working in a delivery-focused organisation
  • Developing compliance/quality processes
  • Collaboration and flexibility in your team working, whilst also being able to work with minimum supervision

  • Strong and evidenced commitment to diversity
