The Global Corporate Responsibility - Responsible Business team at EY brings to life the EY ESG and sustainability strategy.  The Responsible Business team works with stakeholders across the organization to implement EY’s sustainability policies, practices and non-financial reporting.  The team is part of the broader Global Corporate Responsibility function focused on driving sustainable, inclusive growth.

 

One of the essential parts of EY’s Responsible Business strategy is the creation of a ‘Non-Financial Reporting Hub’: a centralized solution and processes for aggregating ESG data, facilitating consistent outputs and narrative, and informing strategy​.  The Non-Financial Reporting Hub Global Product Owner is a key role in the Responsible Business function, liaising with technical and development teams, and supporting the Responsible Business Leadership to bring to life the end-to-end technology solution to enable EY reporting with upmost transparency, accuracy, and rigor. 

 

The opportunity

 

The Global Product Owner will be the primary business stakeholder for the non-financial reporting technology, liaising with EY Technology teams, Sustainability Services teams, and external software providers to coordinate the build, deployment, and future management of non-financial reporting products.  The Product Owner will be expected to guide the product development in line with the broader program strategy and priorities and encapsulating key stakeholder insights.  The role is open to candidates in the Americas and Europe time-zones.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

 

  • Develop and refine business requirements and priorities in line with service agreements and annual budget allocations.
  • Own overall project management, including clear timeline, dependencies and input requests
  • Ensure alignment between all stakeholders, including technology teams (internal and external), and leaderships
  • Communicate vision, strategy, and the expected outcome of solution and features
  • Manage stakeholder input and expectations, ensuring a closed-loop feedback process
  • Solve business impediments
  • Actively manage cross-cutting issues to research, identify solutions and implement product enhancements / fixes
  • Identify and implement process improvements and development of any related enablers
  • Support reporting into senior leadership
  • Collaborate with ‘Non-Financial Reporting Hub’ Lead and broadly Responsible Business team to effectively communicate product-related news, challenges and updates
  • Facilitate focus groups, super user sessions, or other channels to continue to identify user needs
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration/cross-promotion across other EY products
  • Support strategic projects on an ad hoc basis

  • Demonstrate a passion for and understanding of the dynamic ESG landscape  
  • Delivery-focused with a proven ability to deliver complex portfolios of work, mitigate risk and manage multidimensional dependencies in line with timelines and budget requirements.
  • Innovative thinker with a strong interest in developing new ideas and the confidence to champion new ways of working with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrate ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

 

To qualify for the role you must have 

 

 

 

  • Experience in product ownership/management
  • Experience developing feature requirements
  • An understanding of the end to end product development process
  • Experience engaging, influencing and building collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel globally, pending business need

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Experience working across geographies and cultures (preferred)
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
