Manager – Tax Function Transformation, Tax Technology and Transformation


The TTT team is part of EY’s EMEIA Tax Center (ETC). The ETC is unique to EY: we are the only Big 4 professional services firm with a dedicated center of excellence focused on delivering exceptional client service across borders. Our 570+ talented ETC professionals are based in 21 countries across Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA), and work with clients across the area, regardless of our location or theirs. We provide specialist tax, business and technology expertise to address clients’ most pressing challenges in an exciting, dynamic tax and business environment, through a broad range of innovative service offerings.  


The Tax Function Transformation team comprises over 15 dynamic individuals spread across several countries.  We advise Tax Functions of Multinationals across EMEIA on their Transformation journey, as they focus on their future function requirements across people, process, data and technology.

Join our fast growing TTT team as a Manager in the UK and you will have the opportunity to work on EY’s largest multi-country client engagements within our EMEIA Tax Center. We deploy strong multi-skilled teams working seamlessly across countries and service lines.


Your key responsibilities
As a Manager in the EMEIA Tax Center, you will be required to be a strong team player and to:

  • Manage and delivering high quality client engagements and projects; this includes engagement economics and quality and risk management;
  • Manage client stakeholders, coordination of team members and other stakeholders;
  • Participate actively in growing the pipeline of new opportunities and related business development activities;
  • Developing team members and being Counsellor/Mentor to support with career development;
  • Contribute to Thought Leadership and Training materials for EY Tax across EMEIA.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Significant experience delivering on Tax and Finance transformation projects, for example Tax operating model design; use of tax technology; tax function outsourcing to SSC; implementation of Tax Control Framework.
  • Experience in Direct Tax operations and management.
  • Proven experience of multi-stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of best practices, processes and solutions
  • Motivation to grow the business and the team


To qualify for the role you must have

  • Proven track record of success in delivering Tax Transformation projects/program
  • Excellent communication across cultures and within a virtual working environment
  • A tax or accounting qualification


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Fluent in English – written and spoken. Any additional European language is an asset
  • Project Management certification or Technology Implementator accreditation
