EY’s EMEIA Tax Transformation and Technology team (EMEIA TTT) provides companies with support and advice around the automation of their tax processes. TTT works with an extensive range of clients, across EMEIA including many of the FTSE100 and the major Fortune 500 and our clients recognize our unique value to ‘Explore the possible’ and assist them to enable the change.


Finance and tax transformation, along with SAP, is one of the biggest opportunities for our clients to improve the tax function and an area that has seen plenty of recent growth and investment. Your key responsibilities


You will be working on large finance and tax transformations, helping our clients leverage SAP to improve the tax function by supporting and automating internal and external operations of multinational tax departments. You will contribute and help toward developing a highly trained team, all the while handling activities with a focus on quality and commercial value.


Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Delivering large projects and programs related to ERP implementations and transformations
  • Ability to understand key indirect tax processes and translate those requirements into ERP
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional tax and consulting teams
  • Providing input into thought leadership around Indirect Tax and ERP related applications
  • Building and mentoring team members to grow our practice
  • Delivering quality work in alignment with key business metrics
  • Strong program management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of ERP delivery methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, etc.)


The qualifications you must have

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a master’s degree in Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365) and Indirect Tax implementations
  • A minimum of five years of related work experience
  • A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills
  • A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional client-serving consulting skills
  • A demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements
  • An ability to lead a team, mentor counselees and manage client-serving business
  • A demonstrated ability to successfully sell and deliver large enterprise programs
  • A broad understanding of tax accounting and major tax processes


The qualifications which are nice to have

 

  • Approved technical certification
  • Experience implementing third-party indirect tax systems (such as ONESOURCE, Vertex, Avalara, Meridian, etc.)
  • Experience defining data and reporting needs for indirect tax
  • Experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects that impact tax
